It is absolutely a nonviolent protest. What isn't a peaceful protest is knowingly risking contamination and spreading it to others as the non-nurses are want to do.
Wow. How about armed obstruction of access to a hospital and armed risk to fellow citizens' health? But yeah, the nurse, risking his life for fellow citizens, caring for the most ill fellow citizens every day and into overtime... he is the problem for standing briefly in front of an SUV. Quite seriously, @Commodore, I hope you and yours do not need a nurse and never contract something like COVID-19. But if you do, maybe you can complain to them about their work at that time. We need to, in an orderly fashion, split the country in twain. People who want complete freedom to do whatever they want can form the Feral Band of Mud People of America (FBMPA). And everyone else can form the We Want a Functioning Data-driven Society of American (WWFDSA). I clearly need help with the acronyms, but I'm getting more serious about the idea. Y'all don't want science. You don't want reporting. And we don't want nutjobs with assault rifles blocking entrances to hospitals. Who knows if FBMPA will even have hospitals after the split, but you'll be absolutely free, as long as you stay well clear of WWFDSA.
Straw man, heroism in other circumstances doesn't entitle you to restrict the free movement of others. Not even Florence Nightingale is beyond reproach. Another straw man, the person was in a car driving down a public street, they weren't blocking a hospital. And the nurse wasn't there to stop them from blocking a hospital, he was there to stop them from peaceably assembling.
Assembling during this time isn't peaceably assembling. It is dangerous and life threatening to themselves and others.
