    Actually, I don't recall Texx using the n-word or rationalizing its use, ironically or otherwise. He did say that blacks who went to college and interacted with whites weren't really black; but there'll be so many more chances to discuss that.

    You took my words out of context and focused only on one part. Shameful.

    Culturally he's far from black. He tried to get nearer to the African American community by doing things like sitting through Jeremiah Wright's sermons (until that became politically unpalatable).

    Racially he's half white/half black.

    I found this funny.

    But I agree, this is much ado about nothing. People throw this word around way too much. I don't see any positive argument for why it even continues to exist. But whatever. Must have been a slow day when this happened.

    Does it matter? Neither does, say, Elvis Presley. Her stupid statement doesn't take away from the fact that she's the most successful female musical artist of all time and a pioneer for women in music in numerous ways. And I'm not even a big fan of her music, but you can't deny artists like The Beatles, Elvis, Michael Jackson, Madonna or Springsteen. Last I checked, her last concert was at Minute Maid Park. What contemporary artist can play at that large of a venue, other than One Direction?
