1. They are the Cavs…they draft BUSTS. 2. They're in the EAST. There is no guarantee that they would get a great pick. 3. They're in the EAST. There is no guarantee that they'll miss the playoffs. 4. Cavs got an All-Star to go with Kyrie at their weakest position… How many All-Stars are lining up to play in Cleveland? 5. They are only 3 games out of the play offs & 4 games away from a high seed. 6. Cleveland sucks, get what you can. LeBron isn't coming back while he's in his prime. 7. Yes they are going to have to pay OVER $10 million per to keep him in a Cavs uniform…but see 4. & 6. 8. They did a 2K job on Bynum. Signed a player that they knew they could trade for something…they got an All-Star. 9. It's cold in Cleveland. Cavs suck. 10. Bynum is gone.
Just to clear up any questions about the Bulls making room for a max free agent- If the Bulls now go through with amnestying Boozer, and waiving Bynum they will only have 10 to 12 million in cap space still this Summer to go after a free agent. Still not nearly enough to get a true star player in free agency by any stretch. Also in trades at the deadline, they would have to trade Joakim Noah to get a max type of player, which would seem unlikely because without Noah, the Bulls wouldn't have much to surround that incoming big name player. More than likely this deal, and the Boozer amnesty signal a changing of guard for the Bulls talent. It looks like they want to get young up and coming players to surround Rose, Butler, Noah, Gibson next year, and potentially change up their style of play. Wouldn't be shocked as well if they found a way to part ways with Tom Thibs this Summer as well in favor of a more uptempo style of coach who might be better for an up and coming young athletic team.
No idea. All dude ever posts about is Lin and wants him off the Rockets. Those are the posters who should be banned. They contribute nothing. Probably one of those people who hangs on the internet 24/7 because they have nothing better to do with themselves
Also note that the Bulls MUST add a player to their roster now to make the league minimum of 13. Look out RGV... Troy Daniels might be getting cherry picked here pretty soon.
I like this trade for both teams, but more so for the Bulls. Cap relief + 3 draft picks is a good haul for a one year rental of a role players. On the internet, you're a dude until proven otherwise.
The real question does morey use the room exception on Bynum? This would give us plenty of negotiating room in asik deal How many more teams can offer Bynum more than That that he would go to ....and do you think morey does it? Or do you avoid this wack job no matter the circumstance.
Gotcha. Honestly, that makes it worse. A chick with 2600 posts on an internet message board in less then a year probably needs a forklift to get out of bed
or does Bynum even care about money(tried pretty hard to loose a ton of non-guaranteed millions of $'s in Cleveland), and does he even want to put himself in a situation where he makes things even more akward with the Asik situation, and does he want to be yet another starting caliber center backing up Dwight when he can just go and sign with Miami. Hopefully he does end up with Miami and not a team in the West. Clippers sound like destination, but dont forget about Phoenix and Dallas... two teams that desperately want to keep in the playoff race & need a starting center when they face a team like the Rockets. Also Phoenix and their training staff with Bynum...... yeah. I'm concerned about Bynum going West... lets just hope he goes to Miami. Houston doesn't sound like a likely destination at all. If Asik was already traded than I could possibly see it, but can't see it happening with Asik currently on the roster.
I disagree that asik being on roster means anything ... Everyone knows we are going to trade him. That shouldn't be a factor
Anybody read the Yahoo caption? LOL http://sports.yahoo.com/blogs/nba-b...11679--nba.html;_ylt=AwrSyCXKF8xS6hwA9QZNbK5_
Frick I wanted Deng. He covers a need, he would be the closest 2 way player we have on this team. He would also be able to play perimeter defense which is one of our team's weaknesses.
Kelly Dwyer @KDonhoops 13m Also still not convinced Jerry Reinsdorf will pay basically $27 million next year for free agents/Nikola/waived Carlos Boozer. Cheers!
