Looks like Portland is trying to avoid okc so looks like we will be 3rd seed

    The Thunder clinch the No. 8 seed with a loss AND a Spurs win AND a Clippers win.

    A 3 way tie will cause them to drop to 8th

    the overhype for OKC is reaching comical levels now

    Is this team not 11-13 after the ASB? They’re on a 4 game winning streak after beating the Lakers, Pistons, Wolves, and Rockets after a big comeback in the 4th. So before this 4 game win streak, they had gone 7-13 over a 20 game stretch, yet they’re still the team that has so many on here terrified.

    How is that true?

    If the scenario of OKC losing and Spurs/Clips winning then they would all be tied. In the regular season Spurs won their matchup against OKC and then Clips tied with OKC 2-2 but Clips would be higher in their division. Does that not matter if they're higher in their Division?

    Let OKC be all cocky. Next time we put Faried in for a bit with Capela. they get a few less offensive rebounds and we win.

    its not about record, its about MATCHUP. they match up well with us, and portland to the point they would be favored as the lower seed

    Best Possible Outcome:
    Spurs def. Mavericks
    Timberwolves def. Nuggets
    Clippers def. Jazz
    Kings def. Trailblazers
    Bucks def. Thunder

    This leads to us tying with Denver at 53-29, which bumps us to the #2 seed due to winning the season series. A three-way tie occurs at the bottom of the bracket, with all teams at 48-34. Due to the tiebreak protocols, Spurs would be # 6, Clippers would be # 7, and Thunder would drop to #8

    Most Likely Outcome:
    Spurs def. Mavericks
    Nuggets def. Timberwolves (Towns is likely out, and Minnesota won't have the talent to compete with a desperate DEN team)
    Clippers def. Jazz (Jazz are resting all their key players, are content to remain 5th)
    Kings def. Trailblazers (Blazers are resting their star guard duo, Kings will want to end season on positive note)
    Thunder def. Bucks (The Bucks are resting their star players, the Thunder will do anything they can not to be 8th.)

    In this scenario, we are #3 seed playing... the Thunder. The Nuggets face off against the Spurs and the Warriors take on the Clippers. We pull arguably the toughest first round match-up. Not good.


    I'm personally hoping we can get the #2 seed and play the #7 seed Spurs but that's only because I want a chance to be able to go to the games.

    Since Portland is tanking and OKC already clinched 7th seed, It will be their best interest to tank and face Denver instead of Houston. Denver is playoff unproven, while Houston took out OKC in 5 easy games last time they played.

    If we lose a best-of-7 series to any team, including the Thunder, then we deserve it. Nut up, box out, tighten those closeouts, and win.

    OKC is a very rough and physical team, so the risk of injury is high for anyone playing against them
