Spurs can if OKC loses. I don't think the Clippers can.

OKC ain't losing tonight. The Bucks are practically sitting everybody and I'm sure they'll pull their guys early.

What kind of message does this send to the players on the team? To be a 2/3 seed and tank for positioning sounds absolutely ludicrous.

I’m glad the Rockets fear no one.

I doubt it. If you were the Thunder, wouldn't you rather play the Nuggets instead of a Rockets team that was up 14 points on you in the fourth and was 20-5 down the stretch? I get the Thunder thinking they have a shot against the Rockets, but the Nuggets really haven't played well for awhile now.

It is possible that the Blazers are more concerned with getting Lillard and McCollum 3-4 days of rest than having to play them tonight and leap into the playoffs on 4/13.

Lillard played almost 37 minutes a night over 80 games.

McCollum has played two games coming off an injury, and has not played well. It is quite possible that he needs rest.

It’s kind of silly but I believe 100% the rockets can beat gsw but wouldn’t be surprised in the slightest if they lose to some random matchup + bucks

But the Nuggets have swept them this year and won quite handily in each of their 4 matchups. OKC can't be feeling good about meeting them in the playoffs.

Perhaps just *re-seeding* after round 1 is the route to go. You don't even have to go as far as a full on 1-16 seeding.

perhaps but I've seen the craziest scenarios happen and we all know things don't always go according to plan. its rarely that easy. otherwise everyone would be rich just playing the favorites all the time ;)

the rockets weren't even supposed to be in play for the #2 seed was the general consensus months ago

OKC only lose if they want to have a lower seeding.

Yeah, westbrick is always reliable for getting emotional and forget about his other teammates. We’ll just have to keep the ball out of Paul george’s Hands and let westbrick try to get his triple double. The man is always trying to one-up harden on bogus stats. Everyone knows triple doubles are easy to get when you loose games. Keep focusing on that westbrick!

If OKC, SAS, LAC all tie. Then what would the standings look like?

Any team tanking to avoid a team has 0 shot at a title.

Rockets believe they can beat anyone while other teams are going "Well...maybe we can beat them...but we definitely should avoid them..."

Wise man once said...to be the man you gotta beat the man...and you can't beat the man if you're running from him.

Most of these teams in the west are just here for the ride and experience. Only teams I think that believe they can beat GSW this year are the Rockets, OKC, and I'll say the Spurs because of Popovic. Not that these teams WILL beat the Warriors, but they will go into a series fully expecting it to happen and that really is half the battle.

That must be a typo. Thunder clinch the 7 seed.
