Looks like Portland is trying to avoid okc so looks like we will be 3rd seed

This makes no sense. OKC-Milwaukee and San Antonio-Dallas will be done when Portland and Sactown tip off. What if OKC loses? Hell, what if OKC AND the Spurs lose? Granted, the Clippers still have to beat Utah, but the Blazers could get LA in the first round if they beat the Kings at home.

Why not just pull Lillard and McCollum after the first quarter and tank the game once you know who your opponent would be as the 3rd seed?

If we lose to them in round 1 then we are nut-ups and deserve to go home.

Have the Bucks said they are resting people yet?

Nah, if we lose to OKC then we weren't ever getting past GSW anyway to care about what regular season game we dropped.

At the end of the day, we should beat OKC in a 7 game series, it may take 6 games to do so but that is a series we should win.

They could’ve just lost to us last night.

No, because OKC's game is taking place the same time as Spurs-Mavs and will end before the Clippers game even tips off. Unless San Antonio gets down HUGE at home to Dallas, it would make no sense to throw the game against the Bucks. They could wind up 8th and facing the Warriors.

I still maintain the Thunder are far from a shoo-in tonight regardless. The Bucks aren't resting everyone. And OKC is on a tough B2B given how last night went down to the wire.

Giannis already confirmed to be sitting out tonight. Not sure on others.

The NBA is gonna change the schedules for late season and make it more like European football where everyone plays at the same time

Cool. Now we can blow huge leads to OKC in the playoffs as well as the regular season.

The Bucks can win at home without Giannis. They are sitting a lot of other guys too though, so we'll see.

Has there ever been a season when one team is that much better than every other team in the league? I know it doesn't reflect the current discussion, but I am still salty about how its playing out.

btw, I still have a hunch POR wins. Though I hope both POR and DEN lose (karma losses for resting players to alter the playoff seedings). Teams should play games on the up and up.

We have homecourt in the 1st round, not really concerned about who we play. Bring on the Thunder.

OKC was probably the one team I didn't want to face in the 1st round. They are a tough out. smh

What I think (speculation) happened was that the Nuggets were so obvious about it, and started manipulating their seeding with 4-5 games left, that it has caused other teams to follow suit.

I have seen a single team perhaps play of make roster decisions at the very end of the season that showed that they did not have a strong interest in getting a high seed. I have never seen it this pervasive and obvious.

I can guarantee you that Silver will attempt to remedy the issue.

Is there a thread/post somewhere showing all the seeding outcomes based on what happens tonight?

    its pretty simple

The Rockets are the No. 2 seed with a Nuggets loss.

The Rockets are the No. 3 seed with a Nuggets win AND a Blazers loss.

The Rockets are the No. 4 seed with a Nuggets win AND a Blazers win.
