You should be able to find a refurbished e-mac with super drive for a couple hundred less than 799. Buy some mac mags and look at the ads in the back.

    also check macmall.com

I'd check out ebay if you don't mind getting a used one.

Check ebay for a used one with an AppleCare Protection Plan (ACPP). It covers the hardware from 3 years from the original purchase price and is fully transferable. If you can find one that is a year old you have a two year guarantee on service. If it becomes unfixable within that two years, you usually end up getting a NEW model because Apple rarely keeps the old ones in stock.
Either that or for a little more you can get a refurbished one from the Apple store and get a Protection plan on it.
The Protection Plan is VITAL. I can take apart and fix every Mac ever made (iMacs with my eyes closed) and I have a protection plan on mine.
Oh and if you do get a refurbished one from a 3rd party vendor, ask WHO refurbished it. If it wasn't Apple, DON"T BUY IT!
