Main thing I see in Wilt's favor, the 2nd half of his career he got more efficient from the field as the league got HARDER. Mostly cuz he cut his shots attempts WAY down from his younger traveling circus days.

But the more modern the game got, Wilt still was leading the league in FG% and rebounds. He shoulda been getting schooled age 36, but wasnt.

Despite the exagerrated old time Wilt myths, I can't think of more transcendant old era NBA player. No a transported Wilt would not dominate today near the same way, he might only be Yao Ming good. Though it'd still be good enough to be best center of the current era. It'd be like giving Tyson Chandler some of Al Jefferson's offense and some of Brad Miller's post passing skill. Wilt wouldnt totally need "Lob City" to generate follow-up/put-back points for him.

Wilt dominated Kareem. Kareem dominated Olajuwon. Olajuwon dominated Shaq. Shaq dominated all modern centers at some point.

let that one sink in as far as old era----new era

Rookies should not break out talkin' trash with the name calling when you can't back it up. I noticed you begged off when I called your bluff. Now, you're trying to get me to reveal to you my basketball age. (Hint: search through my post history and you will eventually be able to figure it out.) Michael Jordan? Who dat?

No. He called me a troll and falsely accused me of comparing Wilt to Brook Lopez likes rookies do. And then when I answered that he was a rookie he tried making the claim that he is older than I in basketball years. Good luck with that one.

The question is: Could he flop? If not, he wouldn't be able to dominate in today's NBA.

Wilt was the most dominant and best player to ever play in the NBA hands down. I laugh when I hear all these MJ knob polishers claim he was the best. The league had to change rules because of Wilt. There was no goal tending before Wilt and the 3 second lane was widened because of him.

Wilt would dominate today as well. From what I've seen he's like a taller Olajuwon but with longer arms and more agility. that's just plain nasty

I say today's game is easier because teams don't push tempo like they did in the 80's and before. You also have to remember that the road was much harder in the 60's and 70's because teams didn't have chartered planes and they played 3 nights in a row on a regular basis.
