Haha that will change once Morey starts offering other players besides the 8 PFs he's offering now :p

lamb, martin, jones, morris, patterson, toronto pick and our picks for the next two seasons.

that is a hell of a deal for orlando. Especially if lady dwight leaves, those picks would have a ton of value.

That would leave us with the worst team in the NBA, no future and Dwight leaving next season. Great plan.

I sure hope the Rockets are not invovled in this trade. They should looking to get DH instead helping the Lakers land DH.

The Magic have a gun trained at Dwight's head, and that gun is Morey. All Orlando has to do is tell Dwight he either signs an extension with the Lakers (for Bynum) or they ship his ass to Houston. It's brilliant, actually, because everyone knows what this is really about, glamor, and there is no way in hell that Dwight risk being traded to the Rockets, so he gets religion, and decides that the Lakers aren't such a bad alternative after all.

My feeling is that Houston could be a global market. Certainly not to the extent that La or NY is though. The tools seem to be there ... Just need someone that knows how to use them. Yao was more than popular in china. He got attention from around the world because he was from china but also because he was so good, as a player and as a man.

True a global market doesn't currently exist, but I think about it as an entrepreneur ... You've got to have the vision of what could be, not what currently exists. Dwight could be globally huge here, with the right attitude.

    C: Howard/Asik
    PF: Scola/Motiejunas/White
    SF: Parsons/White/Richardson
    SG: Lee/Richardson
    PG: Brooks/Machado

If you think that would leave us with the "worst team in the NBA", you're on some serious drugs. That's a top 4 team in the West and a much better surrounding cast than anyone with cap room next summer. In fact, that team compares favorably with the 2009 Rockets, which may have won it all if not for Yao's injury.

My money is on the Lakers. Bynum for Howard is by far the best return Orlando can get. Now, I do think the Rockets might stick their nose in the deal and get involved somehow.

Money to be made locally, and easily. See all those flyers for events hosted by NBA players. Players get paid for those.

Now think about this. Paris Hilton commands $1M appearance money. Hell even Tara Reid was getting that at one stage. Times that by the number of private or corporate gigs in LA or NY?

We don't have Asik, Lee, Brooks right now. I think CHI will match our offer so when Dwight leaves one year later that leaves us with no center, no picks, Machado at PG(maybe plus Brooks, but he's mediocre).
Okay, not worst team in the NBA but in 2013/14:

    C: Mr. Air
    PF: Scola(aging, no defense, soft)/Motiejunas(rookie)/White(rookie)
    SF: Parsons/White(rookie)/Richardson(old, bad contract)
    SG: Lee/Richardson(old, bad contract)
    PG: Brooks(meh)/Machado(rookie)

That's right again mediocrity mill if you sign a medium C at FA period.

Yes, if Dwight leaves the team would be mediocre at best - and hopefully worse than that, since tanking would seem to be the best option. You just don't have to exaggerate the nature of the team with Dwight to make your point. That would be a very capable group.

"With Dwight", that's the problem...one year of good games and then back to disappointment and no picks to make up for it.

That's fine. Just stick to your actual point, which is that you think Dwight will leave after a year so a trade isn't worth it.

Naah, you could still play small-ball with 5 PF's on the floor.
