It's a thread about a political figure and talkshow host and a gay bar.

If you didn't expect this to go D&D style in a hurry, then you're being just plain naive.

Quite frankly, it never should've been put in the hangout in the first place.

 

i missed this earlier. the other morning i walked into the bedroom after fixing breakfast for my kids, and before i could get in the door my wife said, "you're going to like what Jennifer is wearing this morning."

 

A lot of negative connotations around it being a gay bar. Why is that any different than a straight bar?

 

I lasted about 2 minutes as well. I just tried to listen again and no mention of this story. Just seems weird.

According to the 740 website, he's also on from 5 to 7. I wonder if this morning version isn't live and is just some repeat from the night before. It's kind of strange for someone to have a show in the morning and another in the afternoon without one of them being a repeat of the other. You would think he would be talking about nothing BUT this story if for no other reason to increase his ratings.

I'm going to try and listen again at 5 and see if he addresses it.

Mine always very sarcastically says, "come see your girlfriend on TV..."

 

Of course he's not going to mention it, did you really expect him to talk about it?

I'm sure his producer is screening callers very carefully this morning too, and is paying extra attention to the mute/drop caller button.

 

shocking that the people of D&D political discussions would exhibit low class behaviour...I mean they are so reasonable certainly care more about doing the right thing versus doing what their "side" says.

i don't believe conservatives necessarily hate gay people. but assess the Tea Party's interest in gay rights for me when you get a chance.

 

come on!! i love how you guys act surprised.

i promise you...most of Michael Berry's audience would not be thrilled about him hanging out a gay bar. if you're unwilling to acknowledge that, then you're either being dishonest or you haven't listened to his show at all. back when i was a shrill conservative jackass, i used to listen to him from time to time. the audience he appeals to isn't cool with that, generally, i'm guessing.
