Collier had been having back spasms all week long at the Revue. You can look back in the Chronicle archives to see.

Bullard should be higher than both of our soon-to-be-"injured" rookies

reply to ragging on rocket rooks, i ranked my list of players in order of importance earlier ... now when i'm checking others rankings i end up reading rookie bashing. well i also watched the revue and saw collier and langhi in action. like i said on other post, preseason or rookie revue #'s don't mean crap. injuries do happen and they do effect players on court performances ... i'm not saying collier was hurt but to say he was terrible is plain stupid. yeah he did get in foul trouble which limited his play .. but if you watched the revue, collier moved well in the offense ... he scored well from the left block and got good looks which he just didn't finish on the right blocks. i was impressed that he could do this well ... he has more offensive moves than cato and has better hands. if cato isn't improving on his weaknesses this offseason i feel it would be a toss on who's better, cato or collier. yeah collier has defensive weaknesses and has trouble on the right block, but these are things a player can improve on ... if his work ethic is better than cato he might become a more effective rocket. as far as langhi, the guy shot well and moved well in the revue, lets see if he can do it in a real game ... and lets not forget bryce regularly scored over 20pts in the summer league games.

    1. Francis, 'nough said
    2. Anderson, the key to our defense
    3. Mobley, explosive, heart of the bench
    4. Cato, if he can get his act together
    5. Bullard, most consistant 3pt shooter
    6. Taylor, scoring in the post
    7. Olajuwon, barring a repeat of last season
    8. Thomas, a great rookie campaign
    9. Langhi, the boy can shoot
    10. Norris, every team needs a backup PG
    11. Collier, in case Hakeem is not productive
    12. Rodgers, some size at the PF
    13. Williams, unless you count his trade value
    14. Drew, see 13. Williams

    1. Rudy T. (The coach is the one who designs the team. The players are pieces to the puzzle.)
    2. Francis(Franchise player)
    3. Cat(Francis friend)
    4. Anderson.(Wonderful guy to have, good defence, teamwork, hustle, and not bad on the offensive end too)
    5. Cato(only if he realizes his potential.)
    6. Olajuwon.(FORMER FRANCHISE PLAYER.)
    7. Mo Taylor(Not sure about his future. IF he pledges to stay, then he would leap frog over Cato and Dream)
    8. Walt Williams(Veteran leadership)
    9. Langhi(Project pick. Could provide another option from the bench.)
    10. Kenny Thomas(Not a bad player to have off the bench).

    1. Steve Francis - Best talent
    2. Shandon Anderson - Does it all
    3. Cuttino Mobley - scores really well
    4. Mo Taylor - Dependable post presence
    5. Kelvin Cato - Will end up getting the minutes at the 5
    6. Walt - Needs to be the Walt of April, not November
    7. Hakeem - low expectations, pleasant surprise
    8. Kenny Thomas - could get some valuable minutes
    9. Langhi - could take over the 3
    10. Moochie - nice having a legitimate backup 1
    11. Rogers - Will find some valuable minutes somehow... versatile
    12. Bullard - might score a few
    13. Jason Collier - not ready... might be useful to spread the court once in a while
    14. Drew - decent starter, awful sub

actually revues, preaseason(especially preseason) do tell you something about the player. dont get me wrongi think collier is pretty good but not worth a #9 and a low first round pick(probably and anyway if it is a good pick then milwaukee is keeping it) i realize that people have bad days, but bad 2 weeks? i havent seen a player have a good 2 weeks.

Cat i didnt say it told you everything, but it does give you an idea of what they will play like, but cato gave us a false idea in the preseason because we played against utah, and teams with weak centers(besides san antone) and if cato just played against weak centers mainly backup ones then he probably would be an all star

Indianplaya you are close to what I see the order of importance to this team is.

    1.Francis
    2.Taylor
    3.Mobley
    4.Anderson
    5.Williams
    6.Cato
    7.Hakeem
    8.Thomas
    9.Norris/Rogers
    11.Bullard
    12.Langi
    13.Collier
    14.Drew
    15.Miller

This is the way I see it. Bullard, Langi, Collier, Drew are going to be your 11 and 12 guys and the guys on the IR. The Vuight Gang. Langi may prove to be better than Rogers and replace him.

I think that pretty much sums it up. I agree with that list. For some reason, a couple of people have listed Pig Miller. Why? And one person has already put Langhi above Hakeem in value to the team. OK, folks...

Sure, putting Cato at number 2 on the list might be questionable, but he's all we have! If Olajuwon goes out with injury, who is going to play the 5? Maurice Taylor arguably is in the top 5 in value. Drew, at third string point guard is dead last. That's as given as Francis being first on the list.

The guy that put Francis as the 6th man probably was drunk...

What about all the stupid asses who put Hakeem, the best player on the team, at number 6 or 7? What he has done for this team alone should put him in the #1 spot, and that is not what I am judging on. I know he will be the biggest contributor to the team next year.

rockeem, most of the people here are stupid asses according to you then. but who are you going to put him ahead of

    steve? ure kidding right
Shandon? shandon was most consistent guy on the team
Cat, cat was our second leading scorer and our leader when stevie came out
Kelvin will be more producive than dream this year.
Mo, will probably be our second or third leading scorer

you cant say hakeem is the best guy on the 2000 team because of what he HAS done. and putting francis as out 6th rated guy? c'mon
