lifted from http://www.breitbart.com/Big-Hollywood/2013/10/09/linsanity-scores-more-theaters How fitting that a documentary about a sports underdog would stand tall against the biggest movies Hollywood has to offer. Linsanity: The Movie, chronicling the improbable rise of Asian-American basketball player Jeremy Lin, scored the second-highest per-screen average at theaters last weekend--more than $11,000. Now, the documentary is looking to expand its box office total by hitting new theaters this weekend. The movie showcases not only its subject's talent and perseverance but his faith in God. Linsanity is available now through VOD on Comcast, Time Warner Cable, Verizon, DirecTV, Dish, Cox Cable, Bright House and Charter.
Just watched this documentary. Amazing. Really well directed as a film and it just reminds me how incredible his willpower is.
I feel like they could have built up the emotion of the audience a little more before Lin finally let loose with the few weeks of Linsanity. And then made Linsanity even more dramatic. Like the first time I watched the movie "Rudy", and he finally got into the game and made that tackle at the end of the movie, you remembered how hard he worked to get to that one moment and it gets you choked up when he makes that tackle. I didn't feel that same way about this movie. It was a good movie, but I don't think it achieved that same level of satisfaction that an underdog movie like "Rudy" did. Just my 2 cents.
Will be checking WOW on demand. I hope they have it. Nothing like watching movies on a big screen. I'm excited.
Rudy wasn't a documentary. I'm GLAD they didn't have much of the Linsanity stuff, we already knew what that was, I'd prefer the back story, the struggle , the people etc. It was as dramatic as it could be, IMO. It's Jeremy Lin not Walter White.
Hi Chen tweeted @ho_chenCSN: . @LinsanityMovie coming to 10 more theatres nationwide! http://t.co/bpimnlfGs9 #RedNation #ζδΎη They're adding more theaters.
