Dude...16-18 pts and 8 assists on what FGA? are you sure there will be enough possessions for him to shoot when he is the 3rd or 4th offensive option for this team?

I think it would be ridiculous to expect him to get 18/8 on say like 11 or 12 FGA per game

If he gets at least 30 minutes a game, I am expecting around 15/5 which is what he has settled into about. He is currently slightly under, but who cares?

I would say you're 4th best player averaging 15/5 is a luxury that most teams do not have. I content with Lin as our 4th best player. I think he can be a 4th best player on a championship team.

    I agree with you.

Currently his FGA is 9.5 per game and his PPS is the highest among all point guards at 1.49.

If we expect him to put up better numbers not only he has to be even more efficient but also increase his FGA.

That means he needs to be more involved in the offense and stay aggressive.

Bottom line, he needs to shoot more to meet our expectation

I noticed that he beat full court pressure that Boston was throwing at him last game besides one instance where Avery Bradley stripped it from him. It was Avery Bradley though who is considered one of the best defenders in the league. He used to suck bad with full court pressure but last game did seem to be an improvement.

Lol Houston is having a luxury with Lin at 5 mil PAYOUT and 8 mil CAP Space and fans don't even know it. He's averaging 9.5 FGA and 14.2 pts and 4.3 AST. Shooting at 47.5% FG and 35% 3pt, and 79% FT.

For the price Houston is paying, this is a pretty damn good deal.

Many fans only know 3 yr 25 MIL, or 15 MIL balloon payment next season but don't realize this

Good point, he's playing well this year, I thought he was at 37% three point though?

Absolutely agree. Our team is stacked when we are not completely decimated by injuries. Having a PG rotation of Bev and Lin with AB playing when his shot is falling is a stacked rotation. It was just unfortunate for us that it seemed everyone got injured together.

That has fallen lately with his missed 3s. And at the rate it's going it's probably going to fall to 33%. But with Lin I expect him to have a streak of 5-6 games hitting good 3s putting his % back to 38%. Then fall back down to 35% with a streak of misses.

    He's a streaky shooter.

OH OK, I hope your wrong, lol. Lin, Parsons and Brooks have been the only guys to shoot 37 - 38% or above on this team this year and since we are a three point shooting team, I doubt we get to far with everyone simply shooting the NBA average.

Don't you think he will sign another contract with Rockets?

I am predicating a 7-9 million figure. Not cheap.

8M capspace a year for a turn-over prone streaky shooter?
