for some reason it was very enjoyable game.. i actually never saw melo nor gelo ball before this not even the highlights... i become fan of vytautas now....

i like gelo's back to the basket game and melo is fun to watch, very creative... as per shot selection i believe his father paid for him not to care about shot selection...

LaMelo will be in the NBA though he needs to fix his shooting stroke just like his brother.

LaMelo won't join Zalgiris' Junior team for the Euroleague Junior tournament. Terrible decision if he thinks he can compete with the best European talent of his age, or a really good decision if he thinks he's vastly inferior to them.

LaMelo / LiAngelo may make their debut in an ACTUAL Lithuanian league game. This isn't going to be as easy as going up againt 16-year olds.

http://www.lkl.lt/rungtynes/92 - official stream on Lithuanian basketball league site, not sure if it works to anyone outside Lithuania.

If his Dad wasn’t hyping him so much last year, what sort of lucrative shoe deals would Lonzo have gotten? Would he be in the top 10 or whatever it is in all-star votes?

In the first 6 minutes teams are combined 13/13 from three. LOL.

Does that really mean anything? We've seen a ton of ridiculous voting numbers over the years.

And if I remember, he turned down a shoe deal worth 10-15 million dollars. That's peanuts compared to the stars, but if his on court results never live up to 2nd overall pick hype, he will never recoup that money.

If he does end up being a great player on the Lakers, then the money would have come rolling in one way or the other. He forced his son to assume a ton of unnecessary risk, with very little in the way of upside. The hype is temporary, and will have no bearing on his long term popularity.

LaMelo sucks. And it's not because of his age. Just shitty basketball IQ and shot selection.

I mean, kid averages 10/7/7 with 1.5 steals per game & he just turned 20. There's no chance he doesn't earn that 10-15M. His shooting was the problem, but now it's at least not that garbage - last 15 games 42.3% FG & 37.8% from behind the arc.

And he needs a plastic surgeon or more to make him at least look like a less annoying player.

I actually think the kid is gonna end up being a hell of a player, particularly if he does what we all know he should and fixes that jumper.

And if he ends up being good, the money will be there for him, regardless his fathers hype. But unless he ends up being megastar good to the point where the world will gravel to his every whim, his father is gonna hurt more than help the way he is running his mouth.

Dude is still in the awkward teen phase where his grill is still developing, give it time and he'll look less 'dorky'..
