yep...Portland St. was 10-3 coming into last night's game, and had beaten Gonzaga just a week ago @ Gonzaga.
Well, Baylor made a great comeback today against South Carolina but they lost by 1. Argh...it's frustrating because some of the teams in the teens lost this week and we would've moved up a couple of spots. Hopefully this kind of loss puts them back to reality and tells them that they should actually play basketball all the way through the game and not screw around for ten minutes after the half.
I was at the game..man we got screwed big time at the end by the refs on tweetys lay-up attempt, everyone in the arena could tell it was clearly a goal tend.. but it shouldnt have been that close anyways..I really hope we dont drop out because of this bs though.
They had me a little worried with a slow start on Saturday. I expect a better effort this Wednesday at A&M.
I'll use the word hate. Also, yea I wish the acceptance standards would rise...Baylor's accepting too many students who probably shouldn't due to their SAT scores and the like. At least the girls are cream of the crop. Back on topic. Big game tonight. It's gonna be a tough one since we haven't had a true road test outside of Wazzu. Who knows? Maybe we'll have another 5 overtimes?
I do miss the women on that campus. As for tonight, we should win. If we want to compete for the Big 12 title, we have to win games like this one. No excuses. As Al Davis would say, just win baby.
We should win yes. Vegas only has us favored by a couple points and we've played down to our opponent a couple times for stretches of the games, such as UTA and of course the loss to USC. I think we were 4-4 on the road last year so hopefully that improves. Side note: The Bear Pit chartered up 3 buses and have a whole section of about 170 members ready to cheer. So awesome to have a building organization like that.
I hate how this team jacks around in the first half. Down 11 right now. As bad as we've looked all season.
We probably should be down more as bad as we're playing, so that gives me hope. No one is hot yet on shooting...if Lace or Tweety or just anyone can have a hot hand going, we should be fine. Also what an ugly game.
