It looks like news has come out that the Rams are headed to L.A.! As an L.A. guy, this is great news. The team is back in its rightful home. This is like if Houston were to get back the Oilers name and history.

I'm pretty sure Spanos is going to have to make it work in San Diego. I feel like the only reason he wanted to move to L.A. in the first place was so that he could inflate the team's value and then sell high. In such an event, I imagine the team was going to move somewhere else anyway. There's no way the Chargers survive in the L.A. market. Not enough people there will care about them with the history-rich Rams right next to them, and San Diegans will shun the team out of principle.

Done deal for the Rams. NFL Total Access @NFLTotalAccess 7m7 minutes ago BREAKING: The #Rams will relocate to Inglewood, CA. The #Chargers have the option to join them. (via @judybattista) Chargers either need to sack up or shut up.
@AdamSchefter Rams to LA, with Chargers getting first crack through Jan 16, 2017, then Raiders have preference, per sources. Vote will pass shortly. Unanimous recommendation from committee. ... And the vote was just 30-2. @dkaplanSBJ Told that USC see has agreed to let two NFL teams play at the Coliseum while Inglewood stadium built Los Angeles Rams!
