Someone just posted This Will Destroy You. That's crazy timing because i was just thinking the other day how most every post-rock band i listen to nowadays is because of landlord landry. And since he's been gone I haven't found a new post-rock band. So, on topic of this thread, I think this song is applicable. <iframe width="420" height="315" src="//www.youtube.com/embed/iB7E1D_3Na4" frameborder="0" allowfullscreen></iframe>

Never heard of 90% of what's being posted. Here's some good music for a change: <iframe width="420" height="315" src="//www.youtube.com/embed/m2s4qpCD8yY" frameborder="0" allowfullscreen></iframe> <iframe width="420" height="315" src="//www.youtube.com/embed/J5yR5XhCIeg" frameborder="0" allowfullscreen></iframe> <iframe width="420" height="315" src="//www.youtube.com/embed/y60Mo_Nmydg" frameborder="0" allowfullscreen></iframe> <iframe width="420" height="315" src="//www.youtube.com/embed/WEQnzs8wl6E" frameborder="0" allowfullscreen></iframe> <iframe width="420" height="315" src="//www.youtube.com/embed/FCUeia-nEio" frameborder="0" allowfullscreen></iframe>
Sun Kil Moon is great! Mark Kozelek is one of the great songwriters of the 90s. His stuff has gotten progressively worse, but he still has some gems every now and then (in particular, I found the album by SKM "April" to be excellent) If you haven't checked out his first band, Red House Painters, I highly recommend it. One of the greatest bands of the 90s bar none. <iframe width="420" height="315" src="//www.youtube.com/embed/4BMZ7wfLyno" frameborder="0" allowfullscreen></iframe>
This one always give me chills. (just did again as I was looking for it) The Who playing in front of all the NYC firemen and police officers a month after 9/11. Think about the context and look at the crowd shots. Those guys had been through so much and they were just in ecstasy for about 6 minutes. <iframe width="420" height="315" src="//www.youtube.com/embed/cG_uDDEnzC4" frameborder="0" allowfullscreen></iframe> Always one of my favorite pieces. 4:15 gets me every time. LOW BRASS! <iframe width="420" height="315" src="//www.youtube.com/embed/Jmk5frp6-3Q" frameborder="0" allowfullscreen></iframe> And my post-rock contribution: <iframe width="560" height="315" src="//www.youtube.com/embed/kLcSKxyOspc" frameborder="0" allowfullscreen></iframe>

One of my all-time favorites <iframe width="420" height="315" src="//www.youtube.com/embed/aX1PwkgwsG0?rel=0" frameborder="0" allowfullscreen></iframe> This one always bothered me <iframe width="420" height="315" src="//www.youtube.com/embed/I6n3sZlqrCs?rel=0" frameborder="0" allowfullscreen></iframe>

great tim buckley song, i saw Jann Klose do it at Joe's Pub, around the time this video was made. be sure to listen to the end- beautiful voice, and wonderful singing. <iframe width="853" height="480" src="//www.youtube.com/embed/WVL6KPseAkY" frameborder="0" allowfullscreen></iframe> and my current ear worm, which is quite different: <iframe width="853" height="480" src="//www.youtube.com/embed/OO0-1IIZLBw" frameborder="0" allowfullscreen></iframe>

<iframe width="420" height="315" src="//www.youtube.com/embed/AmcC9aJkBlw" frameborder="0" allowfullscreen></iframe> Harsh vocals, but great work on the instruments and good, meaningful lyrics.
Absolutely. That song came up on my Spotify last week and I was just frozen as it played. It made me think about him and how he left all his talent and his girls behind and the reasons that drove him there. I don't think I'll ever get over it. These are some songs that have a deep effect on me any time I hear them. <object width="420" height="315"><param name="movie" value="//www.youtube.com/v/o5c9w6uWBOI?version=3&hl=en_US"></param><param name="allowFullScreen" value="true"></param><param name="allowscriptaccess" value="always"></param><embed src="//www.youtube.com/v/o5c9w6uWBOI?version=3&hl=en_US" type="application/x-shockwave-flash" width="420" height="315" allowscriptaccess="always" allowfullscreen="true"></embed></object> <object width="560" height="315"><param name="movie" value="//www.youtube.com/v/ZsXKa97J6pM?hl=en_US&version=3"></param><param name="allowFullScreen" value="true"></param><param name="allowscriptaccess" value="always"></param><embed src="//www.youtube.com/v/ZsXKa97J6pM?hl=en_US&version=3" type="application/x-shockwave-flash" width="560" height="315" allowscriptaccess="always" allowfullscreen="true"></embed></object> <object width="420" height="315"><param name="movie" value="//www.youtube.com/v/T300xcall_U?hl=en_US&version=3"></param><param name="allowFullScreen" value="true"></param><param name="allowscriptaccess" value="always"></param><embed src="//www.youtube.com/v/T300xcall_U?hl=en_US&version=3" type="application/x-shockwave-flash" width="420" height="315" allowscriptaccess="always" allowfullscreen="true"></embed></object> <object width="420" height="315"><param name="movie" value="//www.youtube.com/v/84i7zQ_ACnU?hl=en_US&version=3"></param><param name="allowFullScreen" value="true"></param><param name="allowscriptaccess" value="always"></param><embed src="//www.youtube.com/v/84i7zQ_ACnU?hl=en_US&version=3" type="application/x-shockwave-flash" width="420" height="315" allowscriptaccess="always" allowfullscreen="true"></embed></object>
If this song and really the entire album doesn't give you chills, you have no soul <iframe width="420" height="315" src="//www.youtube.com/embed/ijf8MN0-nEI" frameborder="0" allowfullscreen></iframe>
I really don't think there is a more depressing album ever made than Hospice. Along with Bon Iver's For Emma Forever Ago, there is something about a depressed young hipster trying to get over a relationship gone awry.
Good call, one of the the best songs ever made in my opinion. Also, kinda freaky that you posted about that song and LL in the same post (unless you did that on purpose.) Something interesting I noticed a while back on this song. At around 2:29, instead of saying "love" like the lyrics throughout the song, he says "all I want in life's a little bit of dope to take the pain away." It's said twice, and then goes back to "love."
