How do you figure? Isn't McHale just as much his guy as Morey's?

Keeping the current coach is not to take any opportunity to get better. This is no way for us to lose the first round playoff under a good coach.

Les loves money, then winning is second. He just fools some people to buy more tickets for next year. If winning is first, then there is no reason to keep the current coach for next year. No way.

I think Les isn't real concerned with the secrecy angle PR games Morey plays, just let it slip what Morey's actual plans are.

Everyone and their mother knows Rockets are going to try and dump Lin to sign a big name free agent.

I suppose this offseason is all about how Morey can avoid choking on his own poison pill contracts.

Lol the owner just said Lin and Asik are being dumped for cap space awesome.

Melo, Dirk, Bosh there are plenty of options out there and plenty of teams like the Sixers, Bucks, Jazz that would take Lin or Asik for nothing.

Then the Rockets tell Phil we have deals on the table that allows us to clear their salaries and offer Carmelo $19-20M per year.

We really don't even have to dump Asik.

Moving Lin, a pick, and Dmo to say Philly/Utah/Bos for capspace

    +

Being creative with Garcia (no player option and resign with vet min)

    +

The added 5 million in cap jump

    =

12-13 million in potential cap space, which is certainly enough for a Kyle Lowry

    Lowry / Beverley
    Harden / Garcia
    Parsons / Casspi
    Jones / (uhhhh?)
    Howard / Asik

Leaves a Jones + Asik package to trade for a high quality PF as well.

This is along the lines of what I am thinking. Instead of one superstar added for two role players out, two stars that fix the two glaring weaknesses we have in the roster. I am really liking the idea of trying to get Lowry back here, and it seems plausible. As for PF, who besides Millsap is actually remotely available?

I sort of like the idea of bringing Hawes in to play as a stretch 4 and backup 5 personally. That seems like a TT combo that would actually work. I think we could get him relatively easily, too, and probably still keep Jones for the bench. And then we would still have MLE for another quality player, maybe a defensive wing.

All this assuming Asik / Lin gone, of course. It seems there is alot we could do this offseason if Morey can get rid of those contracts.

It don't matter you bring in if you have McHale at the helm..... Another wasted season.
