No one wanted to come play in Houston after Yao n Tmac (Morey was doing a good job of piecing that team together before injury bug which set us back) players want to also play on winnings teams. Thus Morey n Les had a strategy in place n Dork Elvis n Posse of nerds draft well BPA n take risks on upside at times ("#BeWell) but all those trades brought us Harden, then Howard, and I'm sure players are taking notice we reached WCF and now more than ever most certainly are entertaining the idea of coming to play here.

You must have a plan in place! Les is a business man and now he see's that window more than ever

Or we can say that money talks and bull**** walks. It's money first for any person in this world in most if not all cases.

Going all in would have been offering a deal to a Lowry and/or using the MLE for something other than a trade asset (Kostas) instead of waiting on the pipe dream of a max FA leaving their team for less money while cheaper guys signed with other teams. But I don't know if there's any reason to blame Leslie for that.

The pipe dream came pretty close to reality by accounts of everybody involved.

The pipe dream ended up being a dream when the Heat overpaid for Bosh which is what took everybody by surprise, and has all the makings of being a disaster for them at this point.

There are only 4 teams that will never change their logo. Lakers, Celtics, Bulls, Spurs. I think Heat and Trail Blazers might be in that mix as well.

Yes, it was for all intents and purposes a done deal. The Rockets contacted Bosh's agent, made a maximum offer and were told that the only other option was Miami but it was unlikely. The Heat were informed of the Rockets offer and given an ultimatum. Riley requested 5-10 minutes, Bosh's agent informed the Rockets were very pressed for time and as a courtesy the Heat only had a short period of time to respond. Riley spoke with Andy Elisberg about it for a few minutes and ultimately extended the contract ultimatum the Bosh camp presented. The Heat were very close to not resigning Chris Bosh and my understanding is that Elisberg and a couple others were not in favor of meeting Bosh's demands.

Yeah, I just googled it. They realized how fruity it was after having Rodman on the team for a couple of years. When Rodman and the hair left they eventually got rid of the colors. Or it was a transition out of the fruity colored 90s...

He's just continually grasping for straws due to his hatred of Morey.

Was it true that the NBA made the Rockets change their court graphic because it looked terrible on TV?
