6 years later, I think it’s safe to say we did a hell of a lot worse.

We have to have a crap ton of miserable fans in here. I need to bookmark all these threads so we can reference them once this team starts to grow and show promise.

You’d think this front office and owner were the current administration and president the way all the new threads and post read on this board. All because a guy choked his girlfriend yet we blame someone else. Yup that’s world we live in.

This season can’t get here soon enough…

Les only looks good relatively to Fertitta. But he's really more slightly above average owner than top owner. His two championships were early on when Hakeem found his groove which you can't really attribute to his ownership. But overall, the Rockets have generally been a good team under him and he's willing to take swings to improve. And getting Morey was definitely a great forward thinking move that panned out. So he definitely did a lot of things right that can be attributed directly to him.

The problems with Les was that one, he would not tank under any circumstances forcing the Rockets to field a bunch of average teams for years that had no hope to do anything while getting 14th picks. Yeah, Morey made some mistakes like drafting Morris over Kawhi but that's the type of thing every GM does but when you're drafting 14th every year you aren't getting the sure things. The other is that Les hated the luxury tax as much as Tilman. He basically allowed Morey to put together the best team since the 90s and then once it became too expensive he sold the team. There was a reason why when the Mavs won the championship a lot of Rockets fans were on Cuban's dick. Because Les never even for one season contemplated spending big to go all-in. One thing with many of the Rockets teams failures in the playoffs came from having bad depth, and depth is where the owner factors in because he's the one who decides if the 8th and 9th men are minimum guys or not.

Overall I still think he's a good owner. But less because I think he's amazing and more because majority of sports owners suck. And having an owner that doesn't suck is already a big deal.

Les was just a cooler character than Tillman. You think Tillman could rock the pink shirt? I don't think so.

Les screwed us by selling to Tilman instead of Mattress Mack!!!!!!!! Imagine how much better we’d have been and less embarrassed by these casino and legal morons having run the team into the ground.

Meh…. WB trade was his low point…. I think the Harden era was inevitably going to end in Houston but the WB trade really messed things go.

Otherwise… I’m pretty much on board with his mandate to tank. It was much needed.

Yeah the worst in the world lol... But he is a "former" cocaine user / dealer.

KPJ, Lucas and more guys on the team would have loved him!

Mr White / Heisenberg type of operation going on here!
