i'd like to point out that another contender that started the night with zero draft picks (orlando) ended up with zero draft picks, while we got three.

    don't hate, appreciate!

As compared to what? What else could the Rockets have spent that money on that would be better served? It does not count against the cap so why would you give a rats ass about Les's money?

Have you ever SEEN Jermaine Taylor play? Once? Twice? 10 games?

What do you base "your opinion" on?

Are you even in the position to have this sort of opinion?

    My guess is no...

You need to learn a little bit about how the NBA works before you make any further comments. There is no limit on how many picks you can buy or how much cash you can spend on them. But each pick is obviously an asset. You may remember that last year Morey turned Donte Green into Ron Artest. We wouldn't have acquired Ron without that asset. Now, as to acquiring established and solid pieces, there is something called a salary cap. There is also something called a mid-level exception which is the most you can spend if you are at or above the cap. And of course, with Les being as good to us as he is, we always are. Now, name a single time in which Les hasn't spent all the money he was legally allowed to spend to bring in established and solid pieces to our roster to help us contend. I can't think of a single season since he's been the owner in which that money did not get spent. As such, you have no argument. Because this isn't a case where he is going to spend his money one way or the other. He's going to do both.

Also, anyone who still thinks they know better than Morey is an idiot. The closest the guy has given us to a reason to doubt him is Joey Dorsey, and the jury is still out there.

It is great to have a team owner who is not afraid to spend to make this team better. Keep it up Les.

Jeez, some of ya'll can't appreciate an owner like Alexander.

Have you ever heard of a contender team fall to a lottery team because of their owner? *Cough* Suns *Cough* That same team couldn't afford Joe Johnson - TWICE! (They couldn't give him a cheap extension, and once his value increased, there was no chance of able to afford him) This same team keeps selling picks after picks.

Or a team that traded their franchise player for Kwame Brown's expiring contract?
