I would give up everyone not named Darryl Morey and then build around his A$$.

Okay.. pretty feasible. I don't see how this is news.

It would make better news if he said the Championship could be his to lose every year.

He has been playing in a weaker conference along the years.

I really would like to see his stats against Western Conference teams in the past few years.

There are a number of players in the league who could score at will, it's not like LBJ is the only one capable.

That's not so hard to find. If the West is harder to play against, its not noticeable in his stats.

I'd have to agree with him. Lebron could easily average 40, but he enjoys making his stat line a near triple double every night. How many does he have this year? How many did Jason Kidd have over his career? Just curious.

Guess I could have googled my own question. Lebron has 28 regular season triple doubles, Jason Kidd has 104 regular season and 11 in the playoffs.

Magic Johnson had 138 while Oscar Robertson had a whopping 181.

What? There are plenty of scorers in Lebron's tier. I honestly think Kevin Durant could definitely become a better scorer than Lebron mainly because his offensive game is so damn diverse.

You don't have to have a diverse offensive game to lead the league in scoring.

    2009-2010

    vs West
    30.4 PPG/9.0 APG/50.9% FG

    vs East
    29.3 PPG/8.3 APG/50% FG

    2008-2009

    vs West
    27.7 PPG/7.8 APG/49.5% FG

    vs East
    28.9 PPG/6.9 APG/48.6% FG

Doesn't seem like conference affects him that much...if anything he seems to play better in the West.

you realize he plays less against the west every year, right? I remember earlier in the season Ariza was scoring 25 ppg!

Difference is negligible though considering the sample size. However...if you wanted to expand it...

    Career Splits

    vs East
    342 GP
    27.9 PPG/6.8 APG/47.3% FG

    vs West
    201 GP
    27.8 PPG/7.1 APG/47.9% FG

The guy is just terrifyingly good against everyone. Not to mention the fact that even though in the West, he'd have to face tough defensive teams like the Spurs/our very own Rockets, that would get semi-neglected by having to face defensive cupcakes GS/Suns. Also, the East isn't exactly known for loose defense (Boston/Orlando/vintage Pistons?)
