I think the past season is the first time I've seen him as a great scorer. He's always had the all around game but now he is almost at Kobe level with his scoring bursts. He's not as flashy and he doesn't have the creativity to create a shot the way Kobe and Jordan did but his jumper has become incredibly reliable.

Yea I agree it's REALLY good, but comeon man, when phrases like that are preceded by "the one person in NBA history" their aim is pretty clear. Kind of like Jeremy Lin having the highest scoring game in first starts in NBA history. James is a ridiculous player but I've brought this up before his high % is due to the team he is playing and the system. Notice Wade also has a really high fg%.

Lol good luck trying to make him a jump shooter.
Btw he is shooting 43% off jumpers which is elite not below average and 42% from deep. Pack the paint and the Heat will make open 3s on you all day long. Not going to work.
Basically thats the ****tiest and obtuse analyst I have seen today. Not only because it does not make sense but because your facts are just wrong. Below average midrange game? Your either stupid or a troll.

Kobe Bryant 5 game stretch in 06-07..
    Game 1--65 points..59% shooting
    Game 2--50 points..49% shooting
    Game 3--60 points..54% shooting
    Game 4--50 points..55% shooting
    Game 5--43 points..45%shooting
Yes Kobe averaged over 50 points and 50% shooting over 5 straight games...
(Wilt also did this, except he scored 50 in 7 straight games)

Lebron James 5 game stretch this year..
    Game 1--30 points..62% shooting
    Game 2--31 points..92% shooting(against Charlotte, almost shouldn't count)
    Game 3--32 points..61% shooting
    Game 4--30 points..81% shooting
    Game 5--32 points..66% shooting
    Averaged 31 points(yawn) and about 70% shooting

Both players and their teams won every game listed both were 5-0

My question is which is more impressive?
To me it isn't close, Kobe>>>>>>Lebron
Anybody can score 30 efficiently, KD does it nightly,
However only 2 guys have scored 50 in 4 stright games..Wilt & Kobe..

Tyson Chandler has 4 20+ point games this year shooting over 90%.
Where is the love for him??

I'm so sick of the Lebron unwarranted hype and made up records.

The thing that makes me mad though,
Is when Magic said this could be the best 4 game stretch in NBA history...
REALLY MAGIC!!!! KOBE SCORED 50+ IN 4 STRAIGHT!!!
Why is Magic riding Lebron's D***???
Lebron's dumb made up streak isn't even impressive..
This isn't even one of the 100 best 5 game streaks in NBA history..Let alone the best.

Kobe easily. You'll probably never see 50+ in 4 straight ever again. The way he scored was ridiculous off double/triple teams. Same thing was going on ESPN back in the day as well. How to "guard/stop" Kobe, MJ comparisons, How much is he gonna score next? Segments after segments. Lebron's choosing his spots/shots. Death of the big man and LBJ's 6'9 270.

This run will fade in peeps mind by next year.

Scoring 30pts for an NBA superstar like Kobe or Lebron is not that hard

Probably only need to take 15-17 shots and make 60% of them with some free throws.

Lebron probably more selective with his shots now to maintain the shooting %

I noticed last night he only had 2 "dunks" in the 4th ... and ends right at 30pts

but to score 50points 4 straight games at 49% and higher ... that's more difficult.

So should we count Kobe's 81 points against the defenseless Raptors???

In the month of February (last 7 games) Lebron is averaging 30.4pts, 1.6 steals, 1 block, 6 assists, 6.6 rebounds, .800 from the FT line, .539 from 3pt land, .688 fg%. I dont know how you can think this isn't impressive.

MJ's 32.5, 8 and 8 is closer than any of Lebrons seasons.

    20, 10 and 7 -Grant Hill. Crazy.

Maybe bc Jordans team was too young and Lebron is playing with Wade and Bosh and Ray Allen. Pip and Grant were what? 2 year pros?

Keep in mind that MJ played point during that stretch. He never had b4. If he played point for a whole season, he would have eventually figured out how to win and his numbers would probably be more impressive than they already are.
