At the end of his career, most people will deem him the best ever. MJ vs Lebron will be the debate for the ages.

LBJ's legacy won't surpass MJ. MJ was 6 for 6 in championships. LBJ already lost 2, and one was all on him.

LBJ's prime may surpass MJ's, but not legacy. But if James keeps this up (gets 5-6 MVPs, 3-4 rings), he will go down as the undisputed 2nd best player of all time.

Jordan's team was 6 for 6, not Jordan.

Come on, Lebron is so clearly the second greatest of all time there's not even a question anymore. Six straight seasons leading in PER, 4 time leader in win shares including a ridiculous 20 win share season, second in playoffs PER in the 3 point era the list goes on and on.

    He won 6 finals MVP.

LBJ has a long way to go to match MJ's team AND individual accolades. And most likely, he won't come close to reaching those.

#2 of all time is good enough.

Unless, he dominates like this for the next 6 years, get 6-7 MVPs, 6-7 rings, 6-7 final MVPs, 2 DPOYs... then he will surpass MJ.

He averaged a triple-double that season. A feat no other player has ever accomplished and people on here still want to babble about "efficiency." Lol, smh, absolutely ridiculous.

LeBron is a great student of Hakeem's.

You know a guy is great when he can regularly put up 30/8/8 on a regular basis. He plays so consistently well that its hard to even be impressed by his play anymore.

I am sure each of these players did something that LeBron never did.

even Jordan would not have been able to lead that Cavs teams over the Spurs that year.

One thing though, the Eastern Conference in Lebron's era is NOTHING compare to Jordan's era.

Everyting is clicking for LeBron James, and he has figured it out. He is on his way to being the best player in the NBA, and we are fortunate enough to see him accomplish this task.

Everyone seems forget what kind of opponents Jordan faced vs Lebron James faces on regular basis.

The golden era of NBA was in 80s and 90s when so many greats were playing the games, from centers to guards, top to bottom.

Sure, Lebron's stats are impressive. But what kind of opponents he has? This is a league in which you can't even name a center remotely comparable to Patrick Ewing and Dikembe Mutombo (they weren't even the best during their time). And the teams he plays against night in and night out? Most of them are so crappy, especially those in the East.

That is why Lebron will never be as great as Jordan. It is not his fault though. Cause he has no true rivalries. When we talk about Jordan, we will talk about the games against Isiah Thomas, Clyde Drexler, Charles Barkley, Kevin Johnson, Karl Malone, Stockton, Payton... And those countless buzzer beaters and game winners. Lebron? He was against Joe Johnson of the ATL hawks, Celtics gangs in their later 30s, crybaby Dwight Howard, etc... How does that sound to you?

I asked this question in the other thread. Could Jordan get to the Finals with LeBron's Cleveland team? Very debatable.

I don't know why people keep using team success to measure individual success, especially Rockets fans. By that logic, Tim Duncan is two times better than Hakeem.

Players get BETTER over time, in all sports, not worse, even if it doesn't seem that way.

This maybe true of centers but the league wasn't that great with individual talent for the second threepeat. The league is actually considered very talented right now. On Jordan's second go round Ewing was done. Hakeem Barkley and drexler were old.
