They didn't take a big pay cut, they took 1M paycut.

Sorry I meant Gilbert Arenas. He took like 2M off his salary so the team can resign Antwan Jamison. I still don't see a difference between retaining the guys you had and signing the guys you didn't have, and why taking a paycut to retain the guys you have should be lauded while taking a paycut to sign other guys should be hated.

I think Wade being seen as one of the top 3 is pure hype and part of the MJ effect. Gasol, Dhoward and CP3 are rarely in top 3 lists but take either of them out and replace them with Wade and do the lakers, NO or Magic get better? Regardless, MJ and Pippen are already two guys seen as top players in the league who have worked together. They were able to do so because MJ took a huge paycut and only made 7M a year (except for just one year when he made 21M).

Dwade is already 30 years old, he's not in the 25-26 range that Melo, Bosh, Dhoward and LBJ is in. Also both of them are on crap teams so they won't really reach anywhere.

My point is that people hate on LBJ because he's a douche (true) and people don't think he takes b-ball seriously(not true). That hate manifests itself in a variety of ways, and the hate on Miami is just one of them. If you really examine it though, there is no basis for it, as what they did have already been done, just not in a douche like manner.

So if you don't know what adultery means, then you can't cheat on your wife right?

In LeBron world, all husbands would be applauding right now.
