    ...to the strip club.

    Just saying.

Greatness versus stat stuffer personified. Harden will never be the star player on a championship winning team, as much as I hate to say it. He's on the same level as Carmelo, in that sense.

The guy has all the talent in the world, but it's a shame he doesn't have the drive to be a champion. I'm sure it's taking it's toll on the other players on the the, and it's most likely the root issue with this team.

Better hope we get Durant, although I doubt we will. I just don't see Led blowing this team up and starting over, which basically means we'll be a 5-8 seed for the next 5 years before we fade back into mediocrity.

Horrible comparison, horrible thread. Yea let's compare James to a generational first ballot player. Makes sense.

I know right. Lebron James has no business being compared to the greatness of the James Harden the cornerstone of our franchise.

Not allowed to compare work ethic?

We're not talking skill here, even though Harden has as much talent as almost anyone in the league. All I'm saying is to remember what Rudy T once said...

If James had the heart of Hakeem, he'd be just as good as Steph. There's no reason he couldn't be.

I'd expect a talented competitor to respond in game 2 with a 40+ point game, great defense, and lead his team to a win. We'll see. Look at what Hakeem did to DRob after he stole his hardware.

Was there a Harden sighting by TMZ at a stripclub after the loss or something?

Not that I know of, but it seems par for the course. I'm sure he was there, but maybe he's gotten smarter about being seen.

No one was praising Hakeem for having heart when he was 26 years old.

Good point, though I still stand by what I've said.

Leading his team to a win implies that his team is capable of playing winning basketball, and just need guidance. This team is not capable of playing winning basketball.

The point is even Hakeem had to mature. He admits that, himself, now.

I don't know if Harden will or not....but he's literally the only hope we have of having that caliber of player on our roster in the near future.

He was already an elite defender and was putting up insane numbers in the playoffs against elite teams (like the bird-mchale Celtics).

Every player at that age is immature, not every player needs heart, or is out of shape, or doesn't even try on defense

I'm not saying he was there last night, but he was doing it all last year during the playoffs. It'll happen sooner than later.
