Most of LeBron's stats were inflated when the game was basically out of reach.... He didn't play that well until SA build up a big lead and relaxed on defense. <iframe width="560" height="315" src="//www.youtube.com/embed/Y02r-Dz5cMw" frameborder="0" allowfullscreen></iframe>
The series was pretty much played in garbage time. What's your point? Lebron dominated games 1 and 2 when they were close. But when you're always down by 15-20, it's hard to say your stats were made when the game matters.
The point is, if you watched the video is that he played poorly when the games were close enough to stay in/close the gap (he averaged ~.6-.7 ppp during that time as compared to his ~1.1-1.2 ppp throughout the rest of the game) and allowed the leads to balloon. Then once the lead was huge he pushed to try to cut it (although he was efficient from the field, he was largely unsuccessful in cutting the leads). I guess the larger point that I am trying to make is that at those key moments, he became passive and looked to have his teammates score, rather than taking it upon himself to carry them. I think if he had a few games where he took ~25-30 shots instead of 15-20, they may have taken another game or 2 in the series.
Best defensive play was to foul him haha Nahh, Ariza and Smith played tremendous defense on him. Rockets show they are legit contenders
The crybaby got every call, and then he complained when anything was called against him. All credit goes to: Spoiler
That team would be unstoppable. We'd be arguably the best 3 person combo in NBA history if Howard was healthy.
To be fair, he hit some amazing shots down the stretch in regulation. Just couldn't hit a FT to save his life.
Most of the experienced users on this thread realize how good Lebron is. Because of that, we are capitalizing on the one chance we have to make fun of him (especially since we won the game).
This pretty much how I see it. The games where this actually happens to him are so few and far between that fans love to rip him for it. It's the same thing when Harden makes 1-2 defense lapses in a game. People only remember those two plays rather than the 50 other possessions where he had good position.
