Why is everyone so down on EG and TMo?

These guys were rookies this year.

Do you think it would be possible to cut them some slack, let them workout in the offseason and improve their game?

I hear all this trade talk about sending Eddie for this and that, he didn't quite prove much with shooting all those 3's. Then I hear how Terrence bricked all these shots.

The offense wasn't run through them. Hell there probably weren't even plays designed for them. All Rudy had was Eddie and Terrence play Robert Horry and Matt Bullard during the games.

The Rockets had a lousy season because their franchise player was out with severe headaches, and didn't play that effectively. They have an over-paid slouch at center, a trigger-happy shooting guard who like an alcoholic doesn't know when to say when, an aging SF with bad feet who missed 62 games, and a PF who missed the whole season with a blown Achilles' heel.

Just because the Rockets had a horrible season does not mean they need to trade two promising rookies. Although they take their share of the blame since they are a part of the team. I believe the Rockets need to make some changes, a trade or two to get better. We now know that our bench isn't that deep, and that some players can only do so much.

Terrence Morris will turn out to be a great role player, and can do various things on the court. Eddie Griffin in my mind will be an all-star. I know we had a bad season, lets just give the rookies some time. This season was good for them. They got the bad taste of having a losing season, it can only make them hungrier to win. The time they got on the court gave them experience that can only come with a losing season.

Hopefully this past losing season will make all the Rockets, players, management, and fans hungrier to get to the playoffs.

Yeah y'all, especially Terrence. That boy worked hard all year, and finally his shot started to come around toward the end of the season. He can clean the glass and occasionally block a couple. I agree with Jared. He will be a great roleplayer for the Rockets.

Would anyone here be surprised if TMo came back next year with a much improved shot? I certainly wouldn't, I'd be very very pleased, but not surprised. He obviously gave his all. I just hope EG sees improvement in either bulk and inside game, or ballhanding skills (or both). I think after the first year is a good time to see how a player who got good minutes in his rookie year learns how to use the offseason to improve and adjust his game to the NBA style.
