I think its pretty immoral the NCAA made that rule, they are basically saying WE are the only ones who can make money off yo ass. There is so much money being generated in the college level but the only ones who don't receive anything are the kids who are doing all the work. I dont have any opinion on the Ball family, but I'm with lavar on this one.
If you don't respect Lavar then you're just easily manipulated by the media. He is doing alot of great things for this society with his fathership skills and humanitarian acts. The media is paid by nike to slander any competitor, this guy stood up against the big corporations and said **** your money, it's big baller brand baby.
not really. when you show up officials infront of kids, one of them being your own and walk out in the middle of games relaying the message that its ok, i guess that deserves a ton of respect huh. if anything, youre one of those that fall into the gimmick
He's a jerk. Yes he has done great things for his son and stuff but i hate how he carries himself and talks bs to get headlines and become famous.
Here is the latest on LiAngelo Ball. The city they got arrested is Hangzhou, and the city that UCLA supposed to play the season opener with Georgia Tech is Shanghai. So basically the UCLA team was at Hangzhou for a short one day fun vacation trip Ball and the other 2 students went into a LV shop near their 5 stars hotel, and when they left, the staff of the shop noticed something is missing and then they called the police and followed the lead to the hotel and talked to the students for details. (both the hotel and the shop are probably owned by the same group). The item missing is believed to be sunglass(es). No details on how many and how much and if all 3 students committed the crime. The 3 students were detained at the local police station (not in jail) for some hours and then released on bond at Wed early morning local time. During the whole process, UCLA coach and the interpreters were with those students. They were asked to remain in their 5 stars hotel now until the "legal process" to be finished. Legal experts expecting the punishment will probably be an apology from all 3 students plus fines.
LiAngelo to his buddies: Hey, let's swipe some authentic Made in China stuff here! Buddies: Can't we just get them in Walmart back home? LiAngelo: Nah, those are fake Made in China. The authentic ones we get here will worth a fortune in LA.
people seriously over estimate what the Chinese legal system is capable of. These guys are not going to get jail time, or a trial. This is all for show, they are going to be lectured and made to apologize and then go home. Or if they want to make a statement they make them publicly apologize or something just to shame them. Jail time? hell no, there's way too many negatives and bridges burnt I've yet to see any petty crime by 18-19 year olds actually prosecuted unless they are habitual criminals belonging to a gang or something. Most of the time they call your parents, yell at you, threaten to throw you in jail for a day if they catch you again and then let you go home. Chinese cops are just as lazy as American ones. They only throw the book at you if someone from above wants it done, or if its politically motivated, or if there's a lot of public outcry for something to be done.
