Not going to call this a playoff contending team while they still have a losing record on the season and the 10th best record in the NL. In the last 10 games they're 8-2 (not counting the tie that will be replayed) and have made up all of 1 game on the WC leading Braves. I'm glad they're playing better, but they still have scored fewer runs than any other team in the majors, and they still need a bat (Dunn?) to compete this season.
Ortiz has had run-ins with several players, and has an ongoing feud with one in particular. Said player had to be physically restrained from going after him once in the clubhouse, and he was basically told to get the hell out. Ortiz got no help from club officials who basically told him "it's their (the players') turf". The Lopez deal goes back to the Telemundo/Drayton cluster****. Justice is a self-promoter with no intellectual consistency. He's trying to sell papers and get attention. Sad, he used to be a respected reporter. McTaggert & Allyson Footer are by far, and I mean FAR, the best sources of Astros info out there.
yeah, it seemed out of character for you. sorry i asked. i know it makes you uncomfortable. have a sweet time at your pottery class.
We've actually been watching the games over cups of tea. Cucumber sandwiches, doilies and Ensberg bombs...it's summer, people suppose get British.
Anyone hear Granato calling out Justice this morning with Justice on the air... "wait Richard...you said you have to sell out anytime you get a chance to get to the playoffs!!"
they were talking about going for it this year or not. justice has said over and over again, if you have a chance at the playoffs you take it at any cost. today he was saying otherwise. and granato called him out for it. justice backed off, big time. lance argued with granato on the merits of the argument. but justice was quiet. of course, he came on the air defensive, talking about emails he had gotten criticizing him.
