Rockets wise: Will Wilson Chandler get bought out? Morey has been obsessed with him. What about Patrick?

Davis is a super beta, he wouldn't want to stay a clipper. He needs an actual superstar to lead him.

We couldn't have. We don't have a pick as valuable as the Miami pick and we don't have any cheap young players that anyone cares about and we don't have expirings.

They are trying to clear cap space and gather assets for an Anthony Davis trade it looks like.

This is why the Pels would be dumb to trade him before the deadline, a lot of teams are going to do all they can to get him.

    1) Sure they'd like to make the playoffs, but it was going to be as a 6-8 seed with no shot to advance. That has value, but it's limited
    2) The most important thing for them is cap space this offseason
    3) They got REALLY good value to clear cap and trade away a player in Harris that they ideally don't have next year

So who will be left holding a bag of nothing (or overpaying non-stars) this summer?
    Brooklyn? Lakers? Clippers? Knicks?

    [BartScottCan'tWait.gif] Can't wait to find out! :D

I mean, philly just took #1 contender spot for the east right? If they weren't already....

AND Boban. That team is stacked AF.

Have to see what happens, but they look really good. Best starting 5. If they shot 3s like the Rockets they'd kill teams lol.

That sure seems like a lot to give up for someone whose contract is expiring - unless they already have a commitment from him. But their payroll is going to be nuts after they re-sign Butler and Harris. And especially going into 2020 when Ben Simmons signs an extension.

I think so too. AND BOBAN lol...for real, that's so underrated that guy is a beast he just can't play extended minutes. Perfect backup to their beast that CAN play extended minutes

Great trade for Clippers. Got incredible value for a player who was likely out this offseason.

    Jerry West is a machine

I really don't like what the Sixers have done.

They've given away all their assets for one-year rentals on this false "win now" mode. No, they are not winning now. Warriors will beat them handily. This is just plain stupid.

Sixers were on a good timeline.

They had Embiid, Simmons, multiple draft picks, excellent role-players like Covington who fit a defensive need. Their time was after the Warriors. Instead, management decided to speed up the timeline with this false sense of urgency.

To me the Sixers "win now" clock truly starts the day Simmons enters his next contract, which is still a couple of years away.

Too many teams are plagued with this "win now" bullish*t these days.

Everyone wants to be the Warriors, but nobody has the patience to draft their Curry, Thompson, and Green, and then develop them into a contender.

You make the trade for Iguodala once that core is in place, not before.

Wow, so much for Tobias being a piece to build around  West confirmed smart, i think this is a great trade for the Clippers, two 1st rounders (one unprotected) and Shamet for Harris expiring to me is a big overpay by Phila, also not a fan of adding another player used to have the ball in his hands to Embiid, Simmons and Butler...but i guess we'll see how that turns out, Brand sure loves some risk, gave up basically every asset to get Butler and Harris, both expiring and asking for money.
