We need a receiver and Larry needs a place where he can get to the Super Bowl. Also, Andre needs a partner in crime. What do you guys think and how can we get this done?

I think Larry would be too expensive. Lots of peeps would have to get their contracts re-done to make space for him. What's his contract situation down in Phoenix?

These people said no to revis. They'll say no to Fitzgerald. What about Ed Reed (he probably is going to New England). The team has to spend big on one person that would make them Super Bowl contenders.

Assuming Fitz makes around $8 mil per, who are you gonna cut/restructure (that hasn't been restructured already) to make this happen?

Texans don't need flashy players, they can just play action zone block and battlefight their way to dominance.

They actually can zone block their way to dominance... provided they execute the system and have the players capable of doing so.

They were mediocre last year with the run game... and the pass blocking suffered when it became predictable that we had to pass to move the ball. If they were still an elite running team, they would have continued to dominate games.

And in the process they ground Arian into the dust. Next year looks like more of the same. Reminds me of the Dave Wannstedt Dolphins when they ran out of ideas in Ricky Williams second year, meat ground him for 400 carries at 3 yards each, and he said "f -this" and went off to do yoga and smoke pot.

Fitzgerald makes a stupid amount of money, no franchise should pay a WR that much.

We dont need a new receiver. Our receivers are all ELITE. What we need is an ELITE quarterback like Vince Young or Colt McCoy. Give them a shot in Houston, sign them to a 6 year contract. They will play 500000X harder because they have Texas Pride. They will both be better than Arron Rodgers. We will win CHAMPIONSHIP!

sure. I'm willing to bet he would take the vet minimum to have an opportunity to play for a contender. I mean, does he know texas doesn't have income tax?

So basically, details be damned, we're saying no to both Fitzgerald and Revis? Forget the fact that we are already against the salary cap, and would have to restructure pretty much EVERYBODY to get someone like Revis (forget Fitzgerald....with that contract, he's a Cardinal for life) into a Texans uniform, as well as cut about 3 players. If Ed Reed can be had for cheap, then I am completely for that move.....but there is no way he can be had for cheap.

I think the OP things Arizona loves Larry so much they will do him a favor by cutting him (while paying out the rest of his contract as a sign of good faith) and then telling him specifically to sign with the Texans for 1/8th of the League Vet Minimum. Just so we can win a SuperBowl.

    Makes Sense.
