Tests won't always detect a minor heart arrhythmia episode, unless you are wired up when it happens. Doctors just rely on what the patient tells them. It's largely said to be "minor" because the episode wasn't caught on a EKG...or anything...and no other symptoms present. FAKE
I dunno, he's had this and will have it his whole life, so I am leaning more towards real, but obviously with Popovich he does like to fool the league. I just think they'd pick something less crazy and all too real just to get some rest. I have a feeling there was some adjustment of meds/further tests over the week. Even if LMA was wrong about the sensation can't risk being wrong.
I have had plenty of personal experience with heart arrhythmias, both AFib and exercise induced SVT. It is entirely possible that this is not fake, but with Pop who knows? One thing is for sure, none of us on this message board know.
For me it began a few minutes after I completed exercising, typically running. Symptoms were rapid heart rate, tightness in chest, and lightheadedness. It went away after a few minutes of lying down. It began happening more and more often, and the episodes lasted longer and longer. I had three radiofrequency catheter ablations (basically if you think of your heart as a pump, they are rewiring it by burning away bad wiring) before it was finally cured in 2010. The procedure is outpatient; it is uncomfortable but not painful (at least for me). It has not reoccurred since then.
