LaMarcus Aldridge Could Inevitably Become Available Soon

LA's a star, but sometimes you can see when it's better to go for an amicable divorce. Is it true in this case? Don't know. Maybe these are just delusions of sportswriters getting us NBA-nerds into a conversation about something that won't happen. I'm good at falling into such traps.

The only way Houston'd be in on acquiring such a player is if Portland wants to aim for another high draft pick. Add that + say, Dmo or Tjones and even more cap space next year = certain possibilities.

Portland is in the same territory as our team. Rebuilding yet ostensibly aiming for the playoffs lest the fans hit the disconnect button (at least we have the Texans as backup). But neither team will be goaded into a bad deal.

The two teams do have cordial enough relations as to have been past trade partners. So....meh (shrug).

Aldridge or Horford. The sort of players we should aim for. 4/5's.
