Jerry Buss is dead and Donald Sterling is still alive.

RIP Dr. Buss. You established one heck of an organization.

Are you really sure Sterling is still alive? The only times we see him are when he's heckling his own players (this happens next to never these days) or giving weird motivational speeches to people who don't need them or being hauled into federal court for some reason or another.

Cheap cheap cheap when it came to the little people (laying off virtually his entire staff during the lockout)... Screwing over the concession workers at various times... Wouldn't pay Phil Jackson either...

Very successful, and won many titles... But not a fan of the man.

The Lakers did that because it really is a family business and they don't have much revenue coming in other than the Lakers.

Buss paid for Turiaf's heart surgery, a 2nd rounder with a non-guaranteed contract.

I'm guessing that story is all you have against him, because Dr. Buss was a very generous man.

That was Jim Buss who got rid of everyone in the lockout.

Looks like Jim is finally purged from the Lakers. They're gonna get good in a hurry.
