Or every team except the Rockets apparently. Wasn't it like 10 years ago that the league denied us from getting black alternates because there were too many black jerseys? These have to be summer league jerseys.
They should change their theme to a black jersey with that somewhat futuristic computer font they are sporting right there and have 'los angeles' spelled out in lower case across the chest and then have the Clippers coming across the jersey diagonally in neon hot pink in the exact same styling as the poster for the movie "Cocktail" with Tom Cruise. That would actually suit the city, team and prissyass players there. Might actually look kinda cool in a retro 80's sorta way.
I think mostly the logo on the black looks bad. Red and blue together already makes for a tricky palette and it needs the white to keep it from being too garish. It's a mistake to put them together on a black field. I understand why they'd want to rebrand given their recent history. But, I have to say the old LAC logo/colors/unis were just about the only good thing about the Sterling-led franchise. The old script prospered under benign neglect. Also, I think the little branding blurbs about the artistic effects that symbolize this or that are hilarious. People are getting paid to write that stuff!
Well the Rockets at least won't have the worst uniforms in the league anymore. Clippers boutta wear the jerseys they give out in the summer league lmao.
They get 4 new jerseys(even if they're terrible) and we're stuck with the same crap? Any particular reason for that?
