    Don't you mean "elevates?"

    Next year with Austin Rivers and the third and best Plumlee brother should be interesting... :)

    Kobe - No College
    Durant - Texas
    Rose - Memphis
    Melo - Syracuse
    Howard - No College
    Gasol - No College
    Williams - Illinois
    Paul - Wake Forest
    Duncan - Wake Forest
    Westbrook - UCLA
    Rondo - Kentucky
    Amare - No College
    Dirk - No College

    So if Duke is so overrated, where are these superstar producing colleges? Duke players don't do any worse in the NBA than their piers. They come out as high characters players, conductive to winning basketball.

    Technically Mason in the best Plumlee, but Marshall is better than Miles and has the most size.

    So many ignorant Rockets fans, it is not really Duke's fault that their two leading HOFer players in Hill and Brand during the past decade have suffered career altering injuries. Grant Hill and Brand were literally MVP level players before their careers were derailed.

    Anyways, Duke is going to be churning out some Kyrie Irvings or Austin Rivers soon. That'll be enough to life them up for the next decade or so.

    I'd love for us to get Irving in the draft. Morey, git 'r done, please. Another Dukie I'd like, if the roster spot opens with future Morey moves: JJ Redick.

    Irving grows up in the local Gym here in NJ, I watch him playing and even had a few games against him when he was a boy.
    His best comparison is CP3, no doubt. magnetic hands, quick , smooth, shoot,
    creativity , vision, personality , muscle and energy. He has every tool to be a superstar.
    The only thing I concern about him is his height, not a outstanding tall kid, but I never see anyone handle the ball better, highly skilled.

    Your username is really funny. I guess back in 99, you couldn't imagine you would become just one of the 10K Chinese posters here.

    The problem with Duke players in the past is they only had people that were shooters...not bangers or playmakers...Name a Duke player who could get off a decent shot besides Grant Hill?...Their point guards were essentially long distance bombers...None could penetrate to create offense for others...Their wing players were again spot up long distance shooters...Their frontcourt players essentially play like garbarge men late in games...Alot of hustle and grit but no post moves.......Center position is a joke ..no need to elaborate on that..........This is why their players dont translate to NBA superstar material...I would stay away from any Duke player if I had a top 5 pick.......

    I wouldn't let profiling keep me from picking a great PG like Irving.

    Yes, you convinced us there is a curse.

    Moreover, as an adult with a mature brain, you should also spend this much time convincing us that

    Unicorns eats spinach;
    Rainbows gold should be priced higher than standard gold;
    Elvis just beat Obama in a basketball game yesterday;
    The earthquake in Chile was caused by a bug in the Matrix.

    my username is priceless!
    Time flies, I joined the clutchfan since Hakeem era, no Yao, few foreigners then,
    but Hakeem the Dream gave us more to cheer than the whole team today.
    I couldn't imagine there would be so many Chinese posters, I thought my username would be very unique back then, :)
    Go Rockets and Hakeem Forever!

    When I get home, I will compile a list of every Duke player chosen in the top 15 of an NBA draft and how their careers went (or is going). Busy right now tho.

    Instead of posting stupid **** like a r****d, why don't you give some concrete evidence to disprove this curse? Perhaps another school with an unfortunate history like this one?

    Best of luck to you. r****d.

    Why should I disapprove it? You already convinced me. In fact, who with an adult brain would not believe in a curse?

    ^^Duke Hater. Must take comments with grain of salt.

    1. I never said JJ and Shelden outperformed their draft stocks. Atlanta and Orlando were dumb for drafting them that high, because even in pre-draft camps you could tell that they were severely lacking in athleticism. Shelden's like 6'8-6'9 and dominated college because it was a smaller league in general. JJ dominated with the three, plus he was of good size in college (6'4) but undersized when compared to other NBA 2-guards. They were CLEARLY overrated going into the draft; Morey's even said it. For them to still be playing meaningful roles on CONTENDERS no less is a surprise and an example of how hard work and not being an ******* (*cough* *cough* Rashad McCants) give you a chance at actually breaking through in the NBA.

    2. ALL OF THIS DUKE CURSE BS IS IRRELEVANT. If I am the team drafting #1-3 next year, and Irving's available, I'm taking him, "Duke Curse" or not. You wanna miss out on this kid because you're dumb as nails and believe he will blow out his knee like Shaun Livingston just because Shaun Livingston almost went to Duke and Kyrie will be punished also? You can be next year's Atlanta Hawks. Go draft your UNC kid (Marvin Williams). I'll take the lightning quick PG with good defense and unsurpassed handles (Chris Paul).

    What does believing in curses have anything to with age?

    I am not buying into the idea that alot of this bad luck happening to players who come from a certain school are coincidences. How does that make me a child exactly?

    Dukies suffering major injuries like Grant Hill, Elton Brand, Jay Williams possibly stopping them from HOF careers is just a coincidence? Top 5 picks like Danny Ferry, Christain Lattener, Shelden Williams, Mike Dunleavy not panning out are all coincidences?

    The fact that Duke has had so many high draft picks and never had any HOF player is just a coincidence? I think that there something deeper than that.

    Cherokee Parks begrudgingly approves.

    There's also the Duke guys who went IN the program with HYPE but fizzle early before even getting to the NBA (Anyone remember William Avery, Chris Burgess?)

    I don't really count injuries, those are asterisk players. Sure the players don't pan out, but I don't think Duke or anything in the Duke air PUTS the extra injury susceptibility on the players.

    Anyway, here are all the Duke players since 1990 that have actually played NBA minutes.

    Haters will continue to hate. Irving and Rivers will make the so called curse irrelevant within the next 5 years.
