Well, he is a number 1 draft pick for a reason and for that, he should be a great player. I believe that all #1 draft choices should be franchise changers. Even though he is a phenomenal player, it'll be tough to replace a guy like Lebron James. But a player like him is rare. I believe he's easily a top 5 PG. He's not the traditional PG like CP3 or Rondo, but a hybrid between that and the scoring PGs like Westbrook, Dwill and Rose.
He did start out this efficient last year too. Just this year he's doing it at more VOLUME, which is what you want. We already know plenty about CP3 and Nash D Rose cant hit from outside but he can run an offense a tad better. Can defend in the system he's in Westbrook still takes bad shots, but can score and defend and take over games with sheer tenacity. Rondo has all around game on both ends plus rebounding, except for shot making. Deron Williams he's a proven player was arguably the best for a while. Though he's regressed with the Nets, right now I'd probably put Kyrie about even with him really. Kyrie's probably best offensive scoring point guard right now, the other aspects needs to catch up. Though he's still ahead of the Brandon Jennings, Kyle Lowry, Goran Dragic tier
I completely agree. He reminds me of a younger Chris Paul but more polished offensively. He certainly is Special. Cleveland really lucked out
He is a beast offensively but doesn't have good playmaking and gives up the same amount of points he scores on the other end. He does have serious offensive talent though.
That play at the 0:22 mark is just sick ... don't think I've seen one quite like it. But I think it's made to look so unique because Kris Humphries is playing the worst scarecrow defense I've seen... shouldn't he move his feet to at least attempt to get in front of either Irving or Varejao? It's like he was stuck trying to take a charge.
really? if you can defend their PG (especially top tier PG's) you disrupt the opposing team's facilitator and overall offensive flow.
