It is nice to see the GARM & Lowry improving at the same time.

I think he is starting to look a bit slimmer, and he isn't trying to take it to the hole all by himself. He got other players involved, and kept on playing aggressively on both ends.
Good job Kyle. Great video Clutch.

I'm tempted to start a Chuck Hayes Free Throw Appreciation Thread.

Great post. I suppose there are a lot of factors that contribute to the turnaround, but he just looks far more comfortable and confident than early in the season. Effectiveness in one area helps to build the confidence overall; how else can you explain the turnaround in free throw percentages?

AB got off to a slow start, too. I'm sure he's aching to get back on the floor and show there's really no competition for starting PG.

One slight turn-off; after a great game personally and a WIN, his first interview comments were about his disappointment with taking a couple of his rebounds off the stat line. Maybe I'm naive, but does that deserve comment?

Yes and AB looked bad against the same bad defense.

Hopefully Adelman makes the right decision and puts Brooks on the bench so our bench doesn't blow every lead anymore.

Finally a Kyle Lowry of last year. With a Kyle Lowry playing like this and Brook hopefully coming back, we are back to having one of if not the best PG rotation in the NBA. Good to see Kyle get his game together.

Exactly, and I could not have explained it that well.

Lowry may can't shoot, but will take care of the advantage and will transfer it to a partner. It's even better, because you extend the play and tire out the defense, and you finish the offense with a better defensive balance with a shot from the side.

Rondo, Parker, they are no shooting threats neither, but know how to maintain the edge. ... Something Lowry should in fact dominate is the 18-20 footer, and I think with time and confidence he can score it consistently. But this team needs everything that Lowry can give you. I have no doubt that he makes us more solid, better.

Not to take anything away from Lowry, because he played great, but players like Chuck and Shane were finding open spots on the court that gave them a higher % to make the shot. Players without the ball need to keep doing this because obviously it is really successful.

What Lowry is lacking, besides a jumpshot obviously, is some craftiness in his game. When he gets into the lane he makes great decisions, but he struggles to get there because defenders sag off him so much. He needs to watch Andre Miller, who despite being a 20% 3pt shooter gets to the rim with ease. Miller keeps defenders off-balance with hesitation dribbles and crossovers. His midrange games isn't even that good, but he knows how to toy with defenders much better than Lowry. Also, defenders sag off Miller so much that he can easily launch alley oop passes to athletic big men from beyond the three point line. We should explore doing that with Jordan Hill.

As a starter in 10 games

    Averaging

    9pts, 8 assists, 3 rebounds, 2 steals. 42% FG

He is almost averaging a double/double......

Lowry really really needs to average more than 9 points a game.
