Don't see how they can afford to field a team with this and the DD contract. Edit- wow, just saw the Ibaka signing also. Wow.
Just think how much bigger of a fit AB would have thrown if he had a hint of where each of them would end up.
I know that the size of these contracts is comparable in terms of percentage of BRI as they were before, but my brain still isn't calibrated to them.
holy ish. He should give half a million to that one poster for telling him to get of his ass and stop playing video games. It all start changing after that.
well this pretty much explains the no minnesota option....he would have had to settle for half or more of this damn
Win win to both sides. You look at Conley's 5 year contract, then you look at Lowry's 3 year contract. Not bad.
no kidding. I've sorta calibrated to the individual contracts, but I'm more like The Freak wondering how you can field a team. then I realize the luxury tax is 119M and then lowry at 30, derozan near 30, and ibaka at 20 means you still have another 40M to fill out the roster. I mean giving 80M to lowry/derozan/ibaka (plus 15 to Jonas) isn't going to make you good, but you can still fill out a roster considering. it's crazy that 40M was a decent chunk of the cap a few years ago.
