I'd imagine that Lowry would have landed much more than a minimum wage contract had he been a FA this past offseason.

Lowry wouldn't fit in this system. We don't play PG-centric basketball; at least not with the first unit. Bev has been relegated to a spot up shooter.

The rockets would. Lowry is a cancer they had trade away. Brooks is content with his role and is a team player, spot of shooter, exactly the kind of player we need.

this is a great post. I was also thinking about rondo the other day and realized he probably wouldn't be good either. We need a really good spot up shooter.

Yep Morey was trying to sign Chris Paul this summer to be our spot up shooter

If the Rockets do get Lowry, it will be a secondary trade following the Asik trade. Otherwise, we lack the salaries to match.

Personally, I have to think they can get better than that. Heck, Orlando once traded a 1st for Rafer Alston.

And Lowry is a better player than all three of them.

Sure they all have flaws, but so does Lowry. He's in the same zip code as those other guys. Toronto traded away Calderon and made Lowry "the man", but all he did was put up career average numbers. No reason for any team to pay more than $8M a year for him.

I think the Lakers should offer Nash. The Raptors are desperate enough to do that. Lowry means Kobe is the only Laker under contract next year and they can get a closer look at him for next season.

This team already has 3 really good point guards, Lowry is not on the radar.

And Lowry is better than all 3 of them. Lowry also plays defense which is something our back court lacks and the reason why Beverly is starting over Lin.

If we can get Lowry for cheap and if he's willing to come back, we need to jump on this asap. Would be funny though to have Lowry and Brooks as our pgs again..

Steve Nash and a 2nd for Lowry. I believe Toronto would be the only team willing to take on Nash at this point.

Either he's forever stuck starting on a losing team, or he becomes a difference maker from someone's bench.

wow , are you seriously comparing CP3 situation to Lowry? CP3 is one of the few in the league that can make Harden give up to play as main ball handler , i'm sure Lowry is not one of them , heck even Rondo is not
