They're off for 2 weeks. Don't expect to hear anything till then.

I just assumed Manning would start. If he's healthy to play, I would be shocked if he didn't start.

Manning certainly could give them a solid 2-3 weeks with his arm/body relatively recharged with the extended rest.

At this point, a half season of him and having him fresh for the playoffs (but still having the #1 seed) is pretty much the best case scenario they could have gotten.

    Did you see Osweiler yesterday?

In the end, they're only going to go as far as their running game/ZBS takes them (like most Kubiak-coached offenses).

I was amazed by . . . NOT HOW Payton played
but how the other players reacted to Payton playing

Payton inspired and commanded the offense
that is the difference between a backup and a competent starter

If kubes didnt inherit Manning,, the broncos qpuld be no where

kubiak is almost as bad a OB when it comes to getting a QB

Same with RB too until Rick lucked out with Foster

if bellichick takes the jets job like he was supposed to, at least according to tuna, patriots never get one superbowl. it's all about chance and timing. it's the beauty of sports, life etc.

peyton was beyond terrible, got benched at the right time, then brock melted down, kubes didn't hesitate , like in his previous tenure he would have, and brought back manning.

The entire city of denver had forgotten about manning after the first game with the patriots this season. Give those kids some f'n credit.

"If he didn't inherit Manning..." Ha! Hit Kubiak with some truth serum and he'd tell you he want(s/ed) to move on from Manning.

Manning is over the hill and done. Manning isn't the [primary] reason for their SB run.

More like if he didn't inherit that Broncos defense, the Broncos would be nowhere.

Not trying to take all of the credit away from Kubiak and Wade, we saw that they were capable of this in 2011. But they had little to do with assembling this team, and that's half the battle. This really was the perfect situation for them.

That defense is full of good players in their prime that were inherited - and to Wade's credit, they are absolutely beasting. But this isn't Pete Carrol's Seahawks or Rivera's Panthers that they had a strong hand in building.

Wade deserves a lot of credit. He has that D playing out of their mind, but thats his MO. Kubiaks offense sucks. Just go back the peyton offense.

but let's say we lived in a happy world where hoyer isn't the qb, somehow we landed elite baby making machine rivers and we find ourselves in the superbowl.

The D continued where it left off, dominating on 3rd downs. The offensive line, now with a qb that makes fast decisions, goes from good at allowing a clean pocket to stellar and nuke is nuke.

So just because the best players watt, merciless, kjax, jjo, dhop the entire line with the exception of filo are all kubiak guys, we should just say B.O.B hasn't had a hand in building a team? I agree with you but b.o.b in this scenario has to get crediting for molding those players and leading them.
I think it's the best argument that coaches should coach and not have all personnel decisions but still be allowed to bring in guys who they're most comfortable with, like wade, rico, daniels, keo, ninja. It's basically what we have here, only our coach feels more comfortable with patriots qbs that are not named brady.

I said in another thread, they better win SB 50 because Wade's D is only great for one year. That's his MO. Win it this year (I don't think they will) because with Manning and Wade's One-Hit Wonders their window will close.
