Hard to tell if Marc Stein is purely speculating or not. It does sound like the cost for size right now is pretty high (Mozgov is someone I've been interested in).

I cant see the Grizzlies volunteering to take on an undeserved max contract demand, their new owner seems as cheap as their old one

Definitely but he isn't only a headcase, he also has bad habits(bad shot selection, defense). I don't think Grizzlies will accept an offer like that.

It's not like Waiters is going to do anything to help improve the Nuggets at any point. I don't like it.

Waiters would be Rudy Gay 2.0 in Memphis. Dude doesn't deserve a spot on a contender.

This is totally bad value but what else is new with the Cavs? Personally though I value Waiters as a negative, he picked up a ton of bad habits and although he has talent his b****y attitude (demanding the max without doing anything yet), horrible shot selection (youtube clip has LBJ sighing after Waiters botched up a play) and lousy defense make him pretty much a locker room cancer, and to be honest I'd rather have a workhorse like Koufos than a head ache like Waiters.

With all that said though the Cavs really screwed up by trading Wiggins for Love, I told everyone it was a horrible move and so far Love isn't making the Cavs any better. Even worse he might bolt out in FA to the Lakers...well Cavs gonna Cavs

One would have to ask how that trade would benefit Memphis. For the life of me I cannot find a single reason why.

Waiters can be a solid basketball player. But he is utilised and coached like its a pick up game. Put him in the rockets defence and offence philosophy of 3's and layups and watch him be productive.

And then morey flips him

I personally find Dion Waiters this close to being the next Anthony Randolph/Ricky Davis/Micheal Beasley type. All world talent and nothing between the ears.

If I were Memphis, I'd much rather try to just grab another Courtney Lee for free than taking a risk on Waiters.

Do you think we can sell them on Joey Dorsey or Tarik Black for Waiters?

These guys have been anchoring a top rated defense and playing like champions.

If they're looking for size, they may inquire about DMo. Don't take their calls, Murray! We don't need any of their chemistry issues and DMo needs to continue balling for us.

damn I wish Beasley could've lived up to the hype. He's definitely one of the biggest what if's of the last decade.

Why would Memphis do this? Isn't Koufos their primary insurance if anything happens to Gasol?

Memphis would be stupid to do this.
