Kobe CANNOT guard a healthy McGrady.....even today. McGrady is too long and too skilled for anybody to guard..........IF HE IS HEALTHY. And.........the very best McGrady cannot guard KOBE. He is too skilled. If you noticed in that video, the Lakers were collapsing on McGrady the 2nd half of the game, then rotating, then collapsing back in twos and threes on him when he caught the ball. There was no one on the floor cutting to the rim and finishing when they did that to McGrady. I do not know if McGrady can regain his health to perform at that level. However, he is a very highly skilled basketball player that at 85% is better than all but a handful of players in this league. It is just unfortunate that the last couple of years, he has played at about 50% health wise.
Kobe can't not guard a healthy Tracy or Ron, too big for him. But there is always a Battier for him to rest on the defensive end.

Even if he come back healthy next season he will never be that same tmac ever again. 2)I recalled numerous times Tmac either got injured, toes jam, family died or some weird excuses everytime Rockets played Lakers.
