The guy hasn't done anything besides play basketball since he was a teenager; no kidding he's scared. I wouldn't be surprised if he plays in Europe for a season or two when he's done with the Lakers. Maybe he could go into broadcasting or coaching.
I expect to see him courtside at Lakers games for a long time after he retires. Maybe do consulting with some younger players for the organization as well. I doubt he really goes anywhere lol.
I don't disagree with this statement however the sad part about it is that it yielded no results. The Lakers are one of the worst teams in the West.

A interview is not a job. Shaq/CWebb fit in perfectly. Grant Hill, while not my favorite, can be tolerated. Even Kevin McHale did great on the job. Too early to tell, but I just don't see it.
Hopefully he has the courage to cash his checks from the Lakers. I want Los Angeles to derive the full benefit of Bryant's extension.
I can tell you from personal experience that money's the #2 fear about retirement. The #1 fear about retirement is "What am I going to do?!?" and that has nothing to do with money. As I approached retirement, co-workers would talk with me & they all were worried about what they would do after retirement. So while I still think Kobe's a total douchbag, I completely understand his fear of retirement.
Maybe they'll surprise people. Everyone thought they would be in the Finals when Dwight and Nash joined. So who knows, maybe the reverse might happen this time
Probably he's scared his RapeCase will come up again, when he is no longer needed to keep society happy.
