I have missed Kobe playing for several seasons. Definitely one of the GOAT's. Beyond blessed that I got to see him in person many times. Hat's off to the Black Mamba, KB8, & KB24.

Admired his on-court skill and determination. Didn't much care for how he treated his wife or teammates. His body must be wrecked, because his basketball fundamentals were so strong, seemed like he'd be able to play as a catch-and-shoot role player until he's eligible for Medicare. 20 years with one franchise, as a player-- that might never be duplicated-- but Father Time wins.

He was a selfish chucker Durant

He came to practice just to treat his teammates like crap on camera

He got coaches fired and ran players off

He has one of the worse fg%s in history to date and has missed more shots than any other player in NBA history

and while its happening right before our faces

.....but you want the media to gloss over that to say he's a swell guy because you wanna lie and say he was the guy you made your game after, even though you said the same thing about other players?

Me thinks this is another attempt to take shots at the media because you don't like them.

I admire his work ethic and competitiveness.

As a player, he was incredibly overrated.

Obviously the second best player of his generation.

I'd put his generation rankings as:

    1. Duncan
    2. Kobe
    3. Dirk (laugh all you want, this guy has had an amazing career, and his one obvious weakness... defense... wasn't as bad as it seems because of his smarts... he hid his individual defense weakness by being a smart and competent team defender).

As for Kobe, the +'s and -'s are well known.

The one thing I never quite understood is why he was always so angry. I guess it fueled him and made it the player he is... but it's not like you have to be angry to be great.
