I doubt Kobe won't play. If he's playing 25 min in a preseason game. I am sure he can play at least 30 min for regular season opener.
Whoa whoa whoa whoa--- This was posted on the Yahoo Rumors section. Yahoo proper doesn't have it. ESPN doesn't have it. In fact, the current Lakers story on ESPN says: Kobe will play. I'll bet anyone dollars to donuts.
I rather hope he plays otherwise we loose credibility if we win and might seem embarassing if we lose.
Hopefully he plays, while it would increase our chances of winning if he sits, you always want to see best vs best. And while random, I really hate Spurs fans...of all teams forums they seem to have the least respect for the Rockets. Haters.
Now we get to see the match-up everyone has been looking forward to: SHANE VS. RON RON!!!! yesssss!!!
i have a feeling we're in more trouble if kobe sits. Bynum.. meh. who cares. the rockets are weird in that way. We step up when the competition is there and lie down/bend over when it isn't. If the lakers beat us without Kobe then who will be the whipping boy?
The Rockets should prepare for and play the game as it should be played, against the NBA champs. I suspect Kobe will play, although with limited minutes, while the Rockets are not exactly in sync yet either. It is still a legitimate NBA game which means that it would be a very tough challenge for the Rockets, or any other NBA team.
People around here tend to forget this, but Ron used to light Shane's ass up when he was with the Kings. It was infuriating. Really highlighted Shane's lack of physicality on defense.
kobe better play, cuz id rather play agianst a hurt kobe then a laker team that has something to prove without him.. i think he'll play tho.
A wins a win. None of them will ever feel sorry for us missing Tmac or Yao during the playoffs. I dont see how that effects us now for a regular season win over them..
I'll be in LA that night, think I could walk up and buy tickets for a reasonable price with Kobe not playing that night?
depends on what your idea is reasonable but remember its opening night AND the ring ceremony thats something a lot of people will want to see. tickets will be sold out at the box office and i would think twice about buying from a scalper down there
