I read this as rubbing penises together and was very confused.

Good solid move only if they get someone.

Why the hell would AD or KD or Kyrie or any star for that matter want to go play for James Dolan & the dysfunctional Knicks?

(but but but it's New York!)

Hell, I'd rather go to the Nets right now.

    This is very confusing.

This trade happened, what, 30 minutes after it was initially reported that KP was angry? Like...did the Knicks call any other team to see what they'd offer?

They aren't, they signed Chris Paul to $34M/season.... which is much worse...

That is insane to me. The value of absorbing contracts. Let's see if Porzingis stays healthy, but looks like a steal for Dallas. Wasn't it like a year ago they were talking about getting just about anyone for KP?

Knicks are banking entirely on starting over with a free agent class. Durant or bust?

Of course. two players perfect for the Rockets system probably go elsewhere.. What else is new? The NBA has turned my general optimistic view on life into @J Sizzle levels of pessimism.

    It's a off-season tradition with the Knicks.

This is a bad sign for the cost of dumping Knight. The Rockets don't seem to have the assets or flexibility to pull off a splash trade right now, this was reality when we signed Capela and Paul to their deals. Fans are going to have to accept it and stop accusing Tilman of pinching pennies because we can't acquire a star player while being over the lux tax line. It's more of an assets problem.

Listen man...I just call it like I see it.

This season is cursed on many levels for the Rockets. The good news is next year is almost guaranteed to be better after we pay our dues to the basketball gods.

This has the potential to be the worst trade since Harden's.

I mean I know that Dennis Smith has upside but geez...

It was all because of the expiring value on Wes and DeAndre. That has to be attractive to Morey though with Brandon Knight. Next year he's in that boat. A huge expiring deal and all of your picks.

Anderson was a bad contract, but not so bad another GM couldn't do the Rockets a solid. NY is out here just giving up franchise players on a whim.

Sounds like they called the Pelicans...

Look, we're just lucky they didn't call Presti and end up trading him to the Thunder for Schroeder or something.
