Paul George and melo for literally garbage, that's what pisses me off

 

Let's wait and see the outcome first... Both players they brought in were at a risk.... We possibly had the assets to bring both of them in as well but Morey is playing a different game, he is hunting for a bigger animal.. Westbrook was given MVP and his season deserved it but we all know who the real MVP is... We all know who the better player is.
Westbrook couldn't get it done with prime Durant, Ibaka and Harden.... Why are we worried about a player coming off injury and another one who hasn't made it work anywhere and is pretty much on decline.

 

I don't think missing out on Melo hurts Houston, but I do think missing out on Melo with him going to OKC does suck.

They could very well be the 2nd best team in the West.

 

OKC did excellent job in offseason.

Question about Melos no trade clause: does he still have it or can okc trade him anywhere if it doesn't work out?

 

i would assume that it is gone now that it has been waived once on this current contract. not sure tho

 

They are a better team i give them credit for that but they are better than the actually teams that have 2 stars or more with deep depth. Westbrook needs to take a step back and figure out how he can get the most out of George and Melo while letting Adams eat along with a Raymond Felton and Jermani Grant. Lots to figure out.

Melo's NTC DOES NOT carry over. It only extends to the original team.

OKC can't trade him without him giving his consent and waiving his NTC, same as NY

 

nah, it's a part of his contract and carries over to his new team

Melo still has his NTC and would have to waive it in order for OKC to trade him...the NTC won't go away until his contract is over

 

I'm bitter. I'm very bitter. Even though I knew this would happen. Last season was exciting cuz it came out of nowhere. Obviously my pessimism is dominating but kind of hard to look forward now when the BEST case scenario is second seed. I know people don't think Melo would have made the difference but I do believe he gave the chance.

EDIT: I even think now that he ended up in OKC that maybe I would have rather we lost EG for him.

So PG leaves after this season to the Lakers, and the following season it will be Westbrook and Melo in the last yr of their contract (RW never signed the extension). Melo in Oklahoma City for two years. He is going to be MISERABLE AS HELL during the 18-19 season.

 

Melo can leave after this season, right?? He's got a player option for the next 2 seasons.

 

Fyre I thought he had two more seasons on his contract, but if I'm wrong my bad.
