    Yup. Rockets offering Ryan Anderson, non-guaranteed contracts, and anyone tradable that wasn't in the rotation last year. Knicks saying No.

    Deal should be done but they can't seem to agree to parts other than sending Melo and giving Ryno to team 3

    It would have to be if he's coming to Houston. Will be an awkward few months for Ryno to start the season. And hopefully Zhou Qi gets some playing time and shows a little potential to entice the Knicks or a third team.

    Yeah, the longer this stretches out, that could happen. But it all comes down to Melo waiving his no-trade clause of Cleveland.

    Aside from Harden/CP3, the attraction with Houston if it is a TRADE is Houston would have Melo's BIRD RIGHTS to offer a decent next contract. Melo would know Harden/CP3 would still be in Houston. With Cleveland, if they trade for him, and his bird rights, if LeBron leaves after this season, those bird rights are meaningless to Melo because he wouldn't want to stay there.

    LeBron isn't going to give assurances to anyone on what he will do after this season. So that specific issue might give Melo pause to waiving his no trade clause for Cleveland. And no matter what Cleveland might OFFER trade wise, Melo still holds the cards.
